I have a theory: since they are making a Cleveland spin-off series, maybe destroying his house over & over & over again ultimately gives Cleveland a reason to move.
Well it would allow them to save money by recycling the same footage again and again.
Another old favourite: Peter narrating his life, to the point that he expresses his opinion that Lois is becoming "dull and lifeless" she she punches him out. Later, at night Peter awakens and begins narrating again "I awoke several hours later in a daze..."
