That's part of Michael's appeal. She was raised one way, had that taken away, raised another way, had that taken away, trained to be a Starfleet officer, and made one choice and lost that. Her story is one of self-discovery and identify formation while enduring trauma and loss at a lot of different steps.Well, for me, it's all the build up of her Vulcan upbringing only to see her act so un-Vulcan like. I know, there's lots of excuses for that, but if she isn't going to act at least half Vulcan, why bother to have her raised on Vulcan from a small child? To look at her character right now, it's as if all that Vulcan stuff is just there to plug a few plot holes when needed. A lot of Star Trek characters never develop until after a season or two, maybe Burnham will be one of those. Right now she's just flat uninteresting and very un-Vulcan. I don't buy this Burnham/Tyler stuff at all.
I'd rather see Tyler and Tilly doin' the space shag.
She definitely feels very dynamic to me.
