Favorite DSC characters (after season finale)

I'm sure everyone has seen the mid season* finale by now, so I'm coming back to ask the same question again! (for more info see: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/favorite-dsc-characters-as-of-s01e05.290731/page-4)

After one half of a season of ST: DSC - who is your favorite (major) character and did that change throughout this season (please comment below)?
It'll be interesting how many differences there will be compared to your favorites from episode 5! (I added Cornwell now. I thought she would be a minor character before.)

Again, I'll start.
I chose Stamets once more because he just keeps getting more interesting and more tragic - like ALL my favorite characters ever!

Culber is getting really close to becoming my favorite character, but at the moment, he hasn't got enough backround to me.

Cornwell is also really cool and somewhat Janeway-esque, which I like. I thought she would be a boring character, but has actually got a lot of plot by now. However, I still think it's slightly unrealistic that she survived all this. Just saying.

But in general, I like all the characters a lot more since the finale. They pretty much all have a solid story now and that's really important to me. (Still don't like Burnham, though...)

Definitely Lorca. I loved troubled characters and charismatic assholes and he's both.

Stamets is a weird unpredictable mix of genius asshole and stoner. And I like unpredictable.

Tilly's sweet, Burnham's complex but bland, and Tyler has grown on me a bit.

Saru hasn't really grown on me.

is it wrong that i deeply love kol?

i found the religious klingons (t'kuvma, voq, l'rell) pretty toothless. i get the show was trying to make these characters more than just villains, but they seemed kind of stuck in neutral where kol was clearly defined, evil, and loving it.

Lorca and Stamets. I also have a soft spot for Tilly. Lorca is far and away my favourite though, Isaacs is killing it.

That's easy. Lorca because he is compelling. Cornwell because she is decent.

Also, this is not season finale. It's "Chapter 1" finale aka mid-season finale. Season 1 still has 6 more episodes (aka Chapter 2) to go until a much longer break for Season 2 "sometime" in 2019

Definitely Lorca. Dude is complicated, I like complicated. I want him to stick around.

Culber and Stamets. I really like their relationship and how they compliment each other. I like Stamets crabbiness and I like Culbers softness and kindness.

Cornwell because she has ladyballs of solid duratanium

Lorca and Stamets last time. These 4 characters are most intriguing to me.

I voted Lorca and Burnham. I find Lorca to be the most compelling character. I find Burnham interesting because of her background and because she seems to be similar to Lorca. It's interesting they both have the names of archangels.

Tilly has not yet ceased to grate on my nerves. For all her supposed brilliance, they have yet to show her doing something that any Ensign or another member of the crew could not do. So I'm not quite sure why they made her a cadet.

My favorite is definitely Captain Lorca. While his abrasive personality seems to cause some folks to hate him, beneath his gruff exterior he has consistently shown himself to be a hero.

He is even more of a maverick than Captain Kirk, and is willing to risk everything in order to defend the helpless.

I find Lorca to be the most compelling and interesting of all, so far. He was just the kind of character I was hoping for on this show.
