My favourite was Spock (Quinto), though McCoy and Scotty weren't far behind. I also thought that Chekov was a rather sweet boy (I say this in a motherly sort of way).

Robau was cool and hot at the same time, I wish we had got to see some more of him.

I liked Keenser - the little guy who hung around with Scotty.

Nero-(actors name escapes me) - thought he made a pretty good (cold) bad guy.

While I really liked all of the new cast, Scotty has to be my favorite. Scotty was always my favorite character in TOS along with Dr. McCoy. I enjoyed Karl Urban's portrayal of Dr. McCoy the best after Simon Pegg. Bruce Greenwood as Pike was wonderful as a mentor to Kirk. Zoe Saldana was very good as Uhura and I didn't see anything wrong with her relationtionship with Spock. Pine, Quinto, Cho, and Yelchin were all great.

I am a huge fan of Simon Pegg and I loved his intepretation of the character in ST XI. While Scotty comes off as eccentric and a wit, you have to remember he is an engineering genius. IMHO his goofy behavior is a defense mechanism. He doesn't want people knowing how brilliant he really is. I think he has been misunderstood in the past (perhaps from childhood) and he acts like a smart-aleck in order to "fit in". I think he will mature in subsequent films into the Scotty we all know and love. You also have to remember that in TOS Scotty was in his mid to late 40's and further along in his career. Scotty in this timeline is in his mid to possibly late 30's. Kirk appointing him as Chief Engineer of the Enterprise is probably his first high-level posting. I assume he was most likely in research and development after graduating from Starfleet Academy. Physically Simon Pegg looks younger than his true age. To some long-time fans, he doesn't have the gravitas that James Doohan had in portraying the character. All in all Scotty is a fun character and my favorite.

I voted for Spock and still would, but as far as being improved from their TOS counterparts, I must say that I find Chekov infinitely more enjoyable in nuTrek than TOS. nu!Chekov is so cute (in a motherly way, like Miss Chicken said  ) and eager and brilliant. "Oh good, he's seventeen!" Yes, seventeen and amaaaazing. :)

Spock and Spock Prime. Spock prime was a favourite from the original series/ prime timeline, seeing the younger spock was an interesting insight into the character.

Kirk- I like Kirk from the prime universe but he has never been a favourite, however young Kirk came across as very likable.

Uhura- Showed some attitude which was always missing from TOS Uhura.

Bones- Captures the essence of the prime universe McCoy well.

Wow, I voted for a lot of them. How can you pick a favorite from such an amazing cast?

But here are my choices:

McCoy at #1. BY FAR. Karl Urban was awesome and McCoy had the best lines. I liked Urban before, but this role has made me a rabid Urbanite.
#2, Capt. Pike. Bruce Greenwood gave this character so much validity. He was mature, kind, and a terrific captain. And he whistles real loud.
#3, George Kirk. What a great guy. I still get weepy when he dies.
The rest, in no particular order, are Kirk, both Spocks, Uhura, Sulu, and Scotty. I'll give a slight nudge upward for Sulu simply because he rocked.

1.Zachary Quinto wow what can I say about his performance as a younger Spock he was amazing, but don't you not think of Sylar in him.
2.Chris Pine was absolutely spot on he captured the spirit and essence of the Prime Kirk really well but still making it his own as a younger Kirk.
3.Karl Urban as McCoy damn it he was brilliant looking forward to more of him in the sequel.
anyway all the rest were brilliant as well.
