Favorite Alternate Universe.

Yeah, my favorite is the Abrams Alternate Universe. I like the characters, aesthetics, locations, aliens, etc. I can't wait to see where they (I guess not Abrams but his crew) go in the upcoming movies, assuming another one will be made.

I have to agree here. The Abrams Universe has done wonders for opening up Trek-ness in its sets and settings and aliens and I could really get lost in that for hours.

(I also like that the films shook off the lethargy that dragged down the last couple Berman Universe projects, which isn't really inherent to any Trek universe but does affect how we see the things; a great-looking alien in a boring story is to some measure wasted. Science Officer 0714? Let me know more about this fellow.)

I take it you mean 0718, also known as GAT5000, the augmented human who interfaces with the Enterprise? Yeah, he was awesome! Really wish we could have learned more about him.

I know the name "0718" was an in-joke (much like the USS Kelvin's number was), but does it mean AU Starfleet has at least 717 other cyborg Science Officers??

The '0718' designation may have nothing to do with Starfleet.

0718 could have been the first successful "cyborg," with 717 failures previously.

Given that we basically have cyborgs now, that seems unlikely.

The TOS mirror universe for me.

Mainly for the uniforms. All those beautiful women.

But, also the men's uniforms. Kirk and Spock's uniforms especially. And Spock's beard.

Those are my favorite uniforms of all Trek. When I read TOS novels, I many times picture the crew in those uniforms.

After watching "Mirror, Mirror" all the other trek uniforms just looked so bland. I never saw so much awesome on the screen again, until Sisko shaved his head.

Lots of good ones. I always liked AU. Mirror u is a class by itself. From the ones glimpsed at I like..A less perfect union in the myriad universe book..and of course galaxy quest..lol
