Favorite ALL time episode REGARDLESS of the series?

I might go for In the Pale Moonlight.
A hard look at how, in Garak's words, the self-respect of one Starfleet officer might be a 'hell of a bargain' for saving billions of lives. And quite a good deconstruction from the TNG trope (and to some extent: trek wide trope) that it's always possible to keep your hands clean and salvage the situation. Even though I also love the Trek optimism of humankind bettering itself.

There are so many episodes, but I put In Purgatory's Shadow way up there in terms of all time episodes. We had an episode that could have been a season finale, and it aired in Midseason. It was a drastic change to the universe, and we got like 4 different reveals in a period of 5 minutes. It's an episode that doesn't get talked about very much but it was such a game changer that I think it should.
