It's customary for superhero movies to connect the origins of the villain and the hero - wasn't it Burton's Batman that set the pattern? It makes story sense, if one is trying to make a film that exists for its own sake rather than as a brick in a franchise.
The Thing eats. One of my earliest FF memories is Ben eating an entire stack of pancakes in one bite.![]()
I've always assumed he digests food like we do. As does ReedThe Thing eats. One of my earliest FF memories is Ben eating an entire stack of pancakes in one bite.![]()
But how does he digest that food?
As for Doom, I can't remember, is UU Doom connected to the Negative Zone? I agree that Mole Man would have made a good villain for the movie--he could have easily been connected to the Negative Zone in some way.

I saw the trailer before The Age Of Ultron and while it looks like an awesome movie, the updated origin doesn't feel quite right. The idea of the four of them being tjhe first humans in space is rather outdated, so I can see the reason for the altered origin, but yet again they're adding Doom's origin to their origin instead of trying the movie without Doom as the main villain.

According to wikipedia Ultimate Dr. Doom was caught in the same Negative Zone teleporter accident as the UFF,Wikipedia said:and his flesh was changed into a metallic hide (with a somewhat reduced ability to perceive tactile sensations and pain), clawed hands, his legs transmogrified into demonic goat-hooved legs, and he re-appeared on Earth in Copenhagen
Indeed.I've a suspicion you guys aren't as far apart as you think.
That's exactly what I said.Hammering home the point that race is biologically speaking a fiction is of course absolutely necessary;
That's exactly what I never said.trying to omit other mention of it or, worse, denounce actually accounting for bigotry as somehow being a form of racism itself is destructive stupidity that reinforces and gives succour to racism. It's a toxic inversion of King's point about colour-blindness.

So that means if they ever bring back Samuel Sterns in the MCU and this series continues with him still around, he could end up playing two different Marvel villains at the same time.<<The Fantastic Four's first villain was The Mole Man, it might've been nice to have him in the movie. Dr. Doom like Magneto in the X-Men is rathe limiting creatively when boht the X-Men and The Fantastic Four have so many other villains to pick from. >>
Tim Blake Nelson ... Harvey Elder
