I had completely forgotten Tigh was even in the original show. Evidently (to me at least) he just didn't have many 'characteristics' at all. To be fair, I could say that about most of the original cast. I didmt watch Classic BSG for the human characters.
Though I do remember that cast was a hell of a lot more 'white bread' than the remakes.
I can think of one where the White-washed recasting happened all in one movie. Check out how Chun-Li progressively gets less Chinese she ages in the second Street Fighter movie.
Really, all my other examples don't really count. They're cases where ethnicities were changed during adaptation to different mediums, rather than just a movie charcater changing in a movie remaks. For eg. Starship Troopers, the DragonBall and Avatar movies, the Earthsea miniseries, Zorro alternating between being Spanish and Mexican (and being Irish-born in reality) etc.
Crap, I've thought of one...maybe/kind of/probably. Johnny Depp as Tonto.
