The "expensive" reshoots are good news. If the film still bombs after throwing even more money at it, chances would be very good that Fox will dump it and let it lapse back to Marvel when the time comes. #Schadenfreude
I'm not so sure that would be good news. Marvel has its timetable/slate laid out for some years to come and it's unlikely that they'd adjust it to include a FF movie. More likely they'd look at the fact that two different takes on the story had failed and concentrate on more profitable characters.
I had this essential thought as well. The "expensive" reshoots are good news. If the film still bombs after throwing even more money at it, chances would be very good that Fox will dump it and let it lapse back to Marvel when the time comes. #Schadenfreude
<<"This is very much an old school origin story - they aren't really "The Fantastic Four" until the very end of the movie - and I wonder if that has left Fox confused with what to show and how to show it.">>
That doesn't sound good either...

I'm still hoping that this will be good. I remember the negative vibe that preceded X-Men. I'm not saying I expect it to be good but I hope so. If it's not and it's a flop, I think we won't see the FF onscreen for a long time.
Only in Hickman's Avengers.Reed has a beard at the moment in the comics.
I do. What about it?Remember World War Z?
First of all, you're discussing click-bait from ComicBookMovie as if it's real information or newsworthy in some way. That's a mistake. Even Badass Digest is being more realistic in their reporting on the reshoots. Remember World War Z?
I do, too. Say what one likes about the artistic result of its reshoot, it was objectively a major retooling of a mostly-completed movie. Is anyone saying that's the case here as well?I do. What about it?Remember World War Z?
That bolded part sounds good to me...This part is particularly gratifying...
...as I've been saying that for a long time now. While Matthew Vaughn was quick to sing the praises of the movie recently, they now claim to have heard that studio bosses are not pleased with how The Fantastic Four has turned out, with it being described by some as "Chronicle 2 rather than Fantastic 4."
