i use a fake 1! It more easy that way! what do you people use or do have a tree at all? thank you for your time bye;)

Fake. I love real trees but my wife thinks that they're too much of a hassle. For 8 years we bought a real tree but we've had a fake for the past 2. I miss having a real one.

Fake are so much easier to deal with. That said, I don't have a tree at all. When I lived with my roommates, we had a fake tree that we set up every year. And then we realized we liked the mood lighting it created in the living room, so we didn't take it down until June when we moved out.

I've never had a real tree. I don't think there are many places around here to buy them. Plus, I think they'd just be a pain in the ass.

I would rather have a real one, but hubby is too cheap. I have my beaten up old fake up. It still looks nice with all the ornaments on it, and I can leave it up as long as I want.

Nothing but real trees in my household and there never will be as long as I have a say in it.

Fakes are for malls and supermarkets.

Besides, there's something very christmessy about growing a tree for years and years then cut it down and use it for ½ a week.

Mine's faker than fake. It's one of those spiral light trees you see on front lawns... except mine is in my living room.

Fake, because the newer ones especially look pretty good, you only have to buy them once, and you don't have to clean up after them the way you do a real one. The new one we got is especially good, because it is small and has fiber optics, so basically all I have to do is take it out of the box. :D

In my experience cats gnaw on christmas trees, not dogs. I just never heard about cats gnawing on fake trees.

You know like plants; cats love ruining potted plants but leave the fake ones alone.

Fake ones don't look like trees, don't smell like trees, don't feel like trees and are environmentally shitty. Fake trees are an abomination.

Fake ones don't look like trees, don't smell like trees, don't feel like trees
QFT!
and are environmentally shitty.
I'm not so sure abut this though. Sure, trees grow, and that's environmentally good, but the cutting and packaging and distribution of those big heavy things every year can't be good for the environment.
The lightweight once per generation distribution of fake trees is bound to be friendlier I'm afraid.

Real Christmas trees are grown locally where the climate suits, and most of them fairly close to where they're bought. They act as fast growing carbon sinks for a dozen or so years before they're cut. After they are, they're instantly replaced with more seedlings, and after christmas they"re recycled and turned into mulch.

Fake trees are made overseas, are shipped thousands of kilometres, and all eventually end up in the landfill.

I don't see it being much of an issue which are more environmentally friendly.

Fake ones don't look like trees
By the time they're decorated with lights and ornaments and tons of other shit, the fake trees and real trees looks pretty much the same.

don't smell like trees,
I have no interest in the inside of my house smelling like trees.

don't feel like trees
Maybe you should stop trying to feel up your Christmas tree. No means no!

and are environmentally shitty.
Because killing lots of real trees for use as a decoration is environmentally friendly?

Fake trees are an abomination.
Uh-huh...
