FaceOff

Frank's answer? It's all "spin". (As in, the show is edited to make him look like the bad guy.)
I dunno abut editing, but I always suspect in these type of shows whether theres some prodding by the producers/directors to have the contestants "act up" the drama. I was rooting for the goth girls but now I cant stand them with their stupid middle school fighting over, um, what exactly are they fighting over, Conner? Whatever, its stupid.

Found the ending to last night's ep very satisying. The judges got rid of the right person.

Next week: zombies!

I was also glad for last night's decision and am excited for zombies!

I really like this show and I did not expect to based on the promotions.

I could do with out the "personal drama". But it seems that is required in these shows.

Frankly I wasnt all that impressed with the Conor/Megan Bride. Dude still looked like a dude. The Tony/Tate team did a better job.

^ Agreed.

And though Jo may have had a shitty way of pointing it out, Megan did stand around and let Conor do all the work.

I somehow missed the alien ep. I saw the beginning of it live, then switched channels. For some reason my DVR didn't pick it up. I'll have to squeeze in some time to watch it on demand. The "previously on" regarding it looked great.

Jo made such a big deal about Meghan not working on the prosthetics, and we then find out that Jo did basically nothing with prosthetics. It was poetic justice for Meghan to win with her amazing make-up skills while Jo went home for her terrible make-up skills.

Yep. Jo would have been better off focusing on her own work than obsessing over what Meghan was or was not doing.

Enjoyed the zombie ep, but my DVR cut off before the promo for next week's episode. What did I miss?

They have to makeup/disguise themselves. And then I think meet with people who know them to see how effective its was.

So how did everyone like the season finale? I thought it was quite good, and the final four really put forth an impressive set of creations given the difficult theme (reinvent two characters from a fairy tale, in a reimagined setting - hence Tate did a post apocalyptic version of Little Red Riding Hood). I have to admit, if Tate's concept was ever filmed, I'd probably watch it. It's usually been fairly easy for me to decide who did best, but this time around it was very challenging. Personally I probably would have picked Gage's entry, but they were all good.

Yeah, I want that post-apocalyptic steampunk werewolf Red Riding Hood movie!

Apparently there's going to be a second season next year.

same here that look's better than any of the others espically the frog and the witch.

Remember when Stan Lee's reality show promised a movie would get made about the winner's superhero (I think they kinda flaked on that)? Syfy would do well to mine these people for ideas and put out a slightly more bearable cheap-ass monster flick.

^^^ They didn't exactly flake on it, but I don't think they were totally honest about it, either. The impression was that the winner would star in a movie about his character (or at least that's what I thought). What the winner actually got was a cameo appearance on one of SyFy's huge-snake creature features.

All of the contestants, or at least most of them, had a good range of skill. Conor came up with some very creative solutions to solve some of his problems (I really liked the pump he created for the frog mask), and apparently Frank actually did some good work on the witch staff. :D I will admit that, of the three final entries, the only reason I'd rank Conor's last is that I think one of his weaknesses - his tendency to be a little too conservative sometimes, was justified. Conor's strength is his ability to create incredible detailing and textures. I just think the judges were correct in pointing out that he can think outside the box a bit more conceptually. I think that's been one of Gage's strengths, and it paid off well for him on a few occasions.
