Facebook quick question

[Flying Spaghetti Monster]

My left toolbar has changed on Facebook. It used to have my friends who I can chat with on the bottom half and quick status updates like "so and so commented on his own status" above that. Now it has been replaced by only the chat and it looks ugl and distracting.

Please help me change back

Click the little gear icon at the bottom of the chat bar and check "Show Ticker." That'll bring it back.

That option isn't available.
I got the ticker to show up but it's in a different section than the chats. The chars are still on the left side, just the pictures show up.

Sounds like you're the victim of some FB experimentation, then. They do that a lot. Your interface may go back to normal at some point--then again, it may not.
