F***

I might be carrying on too much about this.... but I do miss my puppy so much. I almost can't bear how much I miss him. For days and 22 hours ago ago, he was at my feet right now. Then, two hours later he was laying in the road with his neck broken.

I'm sitting in my chair at home. The last time I sat in this chair, Midnight hopped up in my lap, turned around, rolled into a ball, and went to sleep.

Did you find the human knee thing amusing?
I didn't pick up on it right away... but mildly. :)

When my cat died, he started having an attack while curled up on my chest under my fleece. Couldn't wear that fleece anymore. Gave it to the girlfriend.

I woke up with that stupid dream again. I miss that dog so much.

This is Midnight near when we first got him. Before he helped me lose so much weight.

It's cool if you don't think you can ever have a dog again. I can understand that too, especially when you've just lost a beloved pet in such a sudden way. If you do decide you want another dog, it won't be because you're replacing Midnight or treating him like a disposable or interchangeable object. You experienced the joys of owning a dog and giving it a fine home. If you do ever decide on another dog, think of what an honor to Midnight's memory it will be to share that joy and privilege with another animal.

i wanted to bump this part of bear's post because i really believe in it.

i think it is wise that you dont want to rush into having another pet so soon.
but, there may be a time in the future when it finally feels right.
you might just see the right dog who needs a home.
and bringing them home dosnt lessen the love you had for midnight.

If that had been one of our dogs I would have had to have the OH sedated. My condolences Apostle.

Cool pic, apostle.
Thanks.

I came in to work a few hours early to apply an update to my exchange server that I've been putting off. It's raining in Memphis, an as I pulled up to the office, I saw the spot where Midnight was killed. Though it was about 6:15am, it was the same conditions as when he was killed, same lighting. I lost it for a minute. God I miss that dog!
