I'm glad they haven't really given in to the "we-need-space-battles-pew-pew-not-human-drama" crowd. They've gone the course of delivering human interactions that ring fairly true for the situation while doing it against a backdrop that comes as close to hard science fiction as one can expect on TV.

They should mix it. There's too much angst and emo, it drains the viewer after a while. Have some (its a crappy situation they're in), but it doesn't have to be all emo all depression all the time either. Throw in great combat and space battles to break the human interaction pieces.

They should add some Heart. Maybe the character's won't be such ass's.
