Exeter Act Three Has Been Released

Not bad. SFX are excellent, but the acting seems a bit more forced this time around than in the previous acts.

Hot DAAAAAAAMN!

Thanks, Defiance, I can't wait to watch this!

So, uh, about Act Four ...

Are we there yet?

Dennis, Jimm, Josh, Scott, and everyone over at Exeter Studios: That was fantastic! I always knew you guys would come through and I'm ever pleased to see I was right.

Bravo!

I especially loved Azato's characterization. "Thanks a lot, Doc!"

OK, why isn't this being announced in TrekToday? They can retro-review a 20-year-old episode of The Next Generation and post the musings of the spawn of the Great Bird, but no mention of Exeter? Harrumph.

That's some good stuff right there. That music is so TOS in style, but totally new. This thing has style written all over it, from the direction to to the lighting to the wonderful music and flawless visual FX. Some so-so acting doesn't seem to distract me as it does on some of the other fan films. Nice job, can't wait to see how they wrap things up!

Good stuff! Now to ask "the question" without asking it: did the work on Act 3 go in isolation, or was some work being done on Act 4 at the same time. In other words, are you just now starting from scratch on Act 4?

Downloaded it - watch it - wow, liked it a lot. VERY nice visuals all around; and even though I assume the live action was shot over a few weeks; everyone's performance seems to get markedly better as the episode progresses.

I REALLY hope we won't have to wait ANOTER year to see the conclusion. I wish these folks were as able to produce stuff at the speed of the New Voyages folks as I really do like these characters; and would enjoy seeing more stories with them. But I'll be satisfied if they can get this one finished as it it's turned out very nice so far.

Funny that people comment on the acting differing from act to act, but, aside from the planet sequence and a few retakes, the bulk of it was shot in the same two-week period in 2004.

Fabulous!

That shuttle launch was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time!

Just saw it-liked the added character development and production values. Great story-keep up the good work.

Each act...sometimes even every scene...I think we're going one way and then we go another. It's great! Early on I thought we were going to focus on B'fuselek. Then, it was the Garrovick-Cutty connection. Then, it was Jo Harris. Now, it is Garrovick's past. Just great writing there, UWC Defiance! Great character development!

The ONE G.D. day I don't check this thread Act III releases----story of my life!

Excellent just like I knew it would be. The delay between acts doesn't matter when the end result is this good. As far as I'm concerned this is more than a fan film, this is NEW STAR TREK. Did I already say excellent? :D
