Exclusive "The End of Time part 2" clip (spoilers!)

But, it won't be a reboot. None of that requires a reboot. The new series is doing so well that there's no reason for a reboot. RTD's ego probably would not allow a reboot that erases his contributions, in the show.

Mr Awe

RTD's sense of fun is bigger than his ego. If it served his story than he will reboot the entire show.

Nah, I disagree with that. He won't reboot the series.

Mr Awe

I don't think RTD will undo his reign by making it so it never happened in the show!

Although that would make a lot of fans on GB very, very happy.

Personal theory? The Time Lords, or at least the Gallifreyans will be back, but in a weakened or powerless state. So the Doctor can stop wingeing on about being the last, but they aren't likely to interfere with him, or go around picking anymore fights with Daleks.

If Amy dresses like that, than she can be my Master

She'll be showing off alot of leg next season

There was just an exclusive audio clip on the radio, between The Doctor and The Master.

Master: Tell me. Where's your TARDIS?
Doctor: You could be so wonderful
Master: Where is it?
Doctor: You're a genius, you're stone-cold brilliant, you are. I swear you really are, but you could be so much more, you could be beautiful, with a mind like that, we could travel the stars. It would be my honour, because you don't need to own the universe, just see it. You have the privilege to see the whole and time and space. That's ownership enough.
Master: Would it stop then? The noise in my head?
Doctor: I can help
Master: I don't know what I would be without that noise.
Doctor: Wonder what I'd be without you.
Master: Yeah

Sounds like really bad slash fiction to me...

Video of this now on youtube.

Here's the link to the show with Tennant and Rustyface earlier. If I recall correctly, BBC radio iPlayer is available to all the world. There's some things in there that fans might find interesting, though I didn't get much new out of it.

How do we know that the Matrix is still intact? It might have been infiltrated/corrupted/compromised/destroyed by the Daleks early in the war.

Besides, the Seer might be a Pythia, one of the Sisterhood of Karn.

I think that's a good theory. Each side was getting too powerful. The conflict between them could destroy the universe/time itself. Both Daleks and Time Lords can be back but in state that is weakened enough so that they can't threaten the existence of everything.

Also, unless I missed something, I don't think we know that all of the Time Lords are back. It could just be a group that fled with Dalton? If it's just the group and not necessarily Gallifrey and the whole race, they'd be seriously weakened. Almost like Spock in Star Trek, an endangered species.

Yeah, thats been my theory as well. Dalton and a group of his followers saw what was going down and basically fled the planet at the last minute.

Its all wild speculation of course. But we'll see in just a few days.

Yes. I read some very high quality Grace/Eight slash in the late 90's that I am not unable to locate.

Dear lord, this whole discussion just dredged up the memory of a zine a female friend once lent me with a 3rd Doctor/Joe Grant story. Needless to say it was...different.

*goes to fetch the mind bleach*

Heard a new trailer earlier over the radio on BBC 5 Live and it sounded awesome I wonder is there a 3rd new one out in video format anywhere ? seem to mix the 2nd one with new stuff.

I just noticed something while rewatching Journey's End. Donna kept hearing a sound in her head, just like the Master did, except that she discovered the sound she heard was the Human Doctor's single heart beating.

In the promos for The End of Time finale, Timothy Dalton said The Master's sound of four taps was the sound of a timelord's twin hearts beating.

Coincidence? I think not!

Looks like the source of The Master's insantiy is from an extreme case of Tinnitus  Lucky for him there is a Doctor ;)

I do wonder what sort of reboot will happen and also by chance has it explained the river song question of how she knew the 10th doctor despite the fact he is about to regenerate into 11 before there 1st meeting. Maybe she did know the 10th or was supposed to know him but the return of the time lords alters it so she meets 11th aka Smith --- I smell a paradox.
