Evil is a new series that started on CBS this season, it follows a forensic psychologist, Kristen Bouchard, played by Westworld's Katja Harberds, who joins a team that investigates potential possessions and miracles for the Catholic Church. Her teammates are David Acosta, a priest in training played by Luke Cage himself, Mike Coulter, and Ben Shroff, a contractor played by former The Daily Show correspondent Aasif Mandvi. It also includes Farscape creator Rockne S. O'Bannon as writer and Executive Producer.
Other cast members include Christine Lahti as Kristen's mother, and Micheal Emerson as a man who Kristen runs into who David believes is demonic.
One thing I've found interesting is that so far all of the cases Kristen, David, and Ben have investigated have had a medical or scientific explanation, but there have still been things in the episodes that could potentially be supernatural.
I was pretty shocked by how the last episode ended.

After Person of Interest it's nice to see Michael Emerson play a creepy weirdo again. That VR game Kristen's daughters were playing was pretty creepy. A very dark ending this week. It topped the one from last week

I still haven't seen the end of last week's, but I was pretty shocked at where this week's went.

Glad to hear it, I've been enjoying it so far. I'm curious if we're ever going to get any an investigation with a definite supernatural explanation.

That girl in the mask, you just knew she had to be the burned girl. Though how exactly she knew to go to that house and claim to be that girl to join the party.

I just breezed through the first dozen episodes and now I am convinced that this is the best show on TV right now. I was concerned that it was an X-Files rip off, but this is everything I wanted out of the X-Files reboot that we didn't get. The characters are unique and the stories have all been compelling.

Soooooo am I the only one getting the vibe that the husband is not going to survive the season finale?

I thought I was done with CBS after Elementary ended, but much like Person of Interest, this show is the anti-CBS.

I wonder how long the network will keep this show on since they love the Kings.

This show really has been great so far. They've gone for some pretty shockingly dark endings.

Evil has pretty low ratings but has already been renewed for a second season. It must be doing well digitally or with DVR.

I wonder if we're ever going to get something on this show that is definitely 100% supernatural? So far everything has been either definitely not supernatural, or it's been left ambiguous.

Well Leeland is possessed and he's right in front of them...but unidentified and hiding in plain sight.

Watched the pilot. It was okay but very X files like. Might give it a proper watch when it’s done.

Well, unless Leeand was hallucinating in that last scene with his 'therapist', I'd say we've got a definitive supernatural occurance.

I’m like 3 episodes in now. My continued interest in the show will depend on whether there’s ever real confirmed demons. Otherwise it’s just a show about a bunch of people with mental health problems.

Oh shit, I didn't think I've seen all of last week's yet. I started it, but I fell asleep before the end, and I completely forgot until I saw your post. I guess I know what I'm watching tomorrow morning.
