Evidence of SNW being a possible alternate timeline from TOS

Reddit is for people who don't know what they're talking about.

lol lol reddit the infamous site there are somewhat atomic buttloads of different genres styles and types of xxx stuff on reddit even though most of it does get taken down on reddit they do return and when they do return most of the xxx stuff are under secret names and codes like jumbled letters with numbers

Whenever I’ve seen Star Trek talked about on Reddit it’s a lot of ‘woke blablablabla’.

Fuck that noise.

i guess thats why the trump right orbit and the right wing media universe have there trademark on air meltdowns about star trek strange new worlds and star trek starfleet academy

in other words its like whenever the trump right wingers do chit chat about the kurtz and golds mans era of star trek they probley would be yelling and screaming on there cable news shows like they are jerry springers crazy guests on his talk show during the trash tv era about how bad both kurtzman and goldsman are and also how they both destoryed star trek

and as for the peeps on here well from most of the posts that i red and or skeemed threw most of the peeps just do not like how kurtzman and goldsman ran strange new worlds and starfleet academy

Yes, we're aware of what Reddit is.

Yistaan, people are going to disagree with you. That's the nature of the place. If you can't convince them or you're tired of an argument, I suggest that you hop over their posts. Letting arguments here annoy you is unwise.

This place would be dull if everyone agreed. What would we have left to talk about?

I keep trying to tell you guys, nothing about the show is worth getting angry about. Seriously. Log-off if you must 'til you can return in a calmer mood.

And no telling people to go elsewhere. We frown on that.

And curated stashes of porn.

Not that I'd know.

Imagines you wearing cotton gloves and using a magnifying glass as you examine recently discovered photos of Betty Page shot by Irving Claw while dictating notes to an assistant...

"As we see here. Betty is wearing the tiger stripe bikini as her co star ties her to the tree. I'd say these are authentic."

Sure, "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" had a character canonically state that the timeline had been changed by temporal wars, and what she said was plausibly true.

"Yesteryear" also had a character canonically state that the timeline had been changed, and what he said was plausibly true.

In "The City on the Edge of Forever" we are presented with two alternatives, either the Star Trek timeline requires a predestination paradox to ensure that it exists, or a new timeline was created in which Kirk, Spock, and McCoy exist back in the 1930s with the net effect of keeping important future events intact and the disintegration of a milk thief makes no difference. Based on conversations here, a lot of fans assume the latter alternative.

Similar remarks apply to "Tomorrow Is Yesterday", there are two options: predestination paradox or restorative action was performed to paper over the temporal incursion. In "Assignment: Earth", they settle (at least in that case) on predestination.

I'm probably just getting started with examples, at least some of these and maybe others have already been discussed.

So, my take:

The point is, narratively, with time travel as a part of the premise, it is the norm for the timeline to be a moving target. We* don't consider TOS to be split up into different timelines, despite the obvious examples that might require us to accept that history has been altered during the course of an episode. (Same for TAS.)

Accordingly, even if temporal wars have altered history, it's still the same timeline for the purposes of the narrative, just like it's always been.

* - Well, some of us seriously might.
