There's a company here that really is the only one that does pure Star Trek conventions. They have a big one in Las Vegas every year as well as a handful of smaller ones (one in my home state) all of a sudden they cancelled everyyhing but the Vegas convention.
The Vegas convention is rediculously expensive. The tickets are hundreds of dollarsWell, because the convention in Vegas is the bigger one and one of the rare chances to see a great part of Voyager's casting, especially Kate Mulgrew, a part of me would like to attend this one, but in the same time, the other part, more reasonnable, thinks that travelling to States from France just for a convention is a waste of money and time spent in a plane for just one day or a weekend!).
I wait the annoncement of an STV's convention here, at Paris, which already welcomes a lot of Sci-Fi conventions.
It’s unfortunate you had a lousy time. I’ve found it to be quite the opposite.
This is why i looked forward to their other conventions. They charge more but they know what they're doing.
Expect to make new friends, hear some great stories, and to have the most fun ever

Yep, it's not cheap which is why I'm upset they canceled the othersBlimey, for those prices you'd think you were buying the whole place not just visiting!!!

Back in the day conventions were much more affordable. Today they are a money machine. Last year we went with the "cheap" tickets which cost $150ishI've never heard of such stupidity in this day and age! Cash is harder to find than gold in the UK!
