Impressive.

I'd love to see someone do some 3D modeling on this ship.

It would really be neat to do something clever like take the title sequence from ENT and replace the NX-01 with a ship like this.

I beg to differ... if you can visualize the whole thing as nicely as you have here... you have 3D skills. You just need to learn the mouse-clicks needed to move the 3D you have in your head into a computer, that's all!

Hey, you ripped that off from "Enterprise." (running and ducking!)
FI would say he has developed further. Clearly an evolutionary design toward the big E.

Skai, just FYI, that was entirely a joke comment. I was hoping that the "ducking and running" comment would've made that pretty clear. :D

Without question, some of the best blueprints surrounding a non-canonical (yet should-have-been-canon) ship I've ever seen. Your attention to detail is superb and your ability to effortlessly capture the true essence of a TOS-era ship is inspiring. I have no doubt that your blueprints will become one of the highlights of my Blueprints Database site... And I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Once again, "Ancient", great great work.

Curses, my secret dead thread has been discovered! Abandon ship!

Whooo, maybe I should post something new around here sometime.

Thanks, Dennis. My computer skill is still catching up to my pencil stuff. This is how I made the bridge:

This is the sort of crazy thing you do when you can't figure out the layer function. *sigh* Thank goodness I don't have to do that again.

It occured to me that I never bothered to explain some of the stuff. So...

The grabby thing is kinda based on the Spock TMP jet-pack.

A ladder doesn't look like a ladder from any view except the front.

Cooking potatoes for 150 people means big pots. That isn't a tiefighter, it's a pot with handles.

I think I'll start a different thread for my designs once I bother to scan them.

^ Thanks for the explanation. I really was actually wondering about some of those things.

You should but in the meantime, I really don't mind seeing this one again.

Thing is, I really hate to muddy up my drawings with lines leading to the labels. You may notice that on the sheet with the bridge layout I have the bridge on there twice, one labelled, one clean. Any labels on the others only point to things around the edges so that the pointer lines won't be crossing all over everything. I did those little side charts to make up for it, but some stuff got overlooked.

Ancient-

Beautiful work, but I can't seem to get the final page (notes) to open. Is it me, or is something wrong with it?

The last sheet I posted in this thread has been deleted or something. Follow Jag's link.

This design makes a hell of a lot more sense than the NX class, alot more.

Excellent work!

If Vektor wasn't so busy already it wouldn't have surprised me if he took a 3d run at it. It seems like it's right up his ally.
