Episodes you refuse to watch

^ I've come to appreciate Hatchery. The thing to bear in mind is that it's not about Archer's madness, it's about how others in the chain of command cope with the issue of a leader who may be compromised.

It was just the writers missed the point of the joke. The funny or amusing part was the kids asking such an obvious question and Trip being put on the spot. We didn't need 5 minutes of Star Trek technobabble on "where poop goes". The bit had already paid off.
The issue of how life is sustained in the closed system of a ship is interesting from a sci-fi perspective, so I suspect I'm not alone in enjoying Trip's answer. For those interested, here's what Trip actually said:

TUCKER: The first thing you've got to understand is we recycle pretty much everything on a starship. That includes waste, and the first thing that happens to the waste is it gets processed through a machine called a bio-matter resequencer. Then it gets broken down into -- Hold on.
(Hoshi pauses recording.)
TUCKER: They're going to think I'm the sanitation engineer.
ARCHER: You're doing fine.
(The recording is resumed.)
TUCKER: So the waste is broken down into little molecules, and then they get transformed into any number of things we can use on the ship. Cargo containers, insulation, boots, you name it.

wouldnt say refuse to watch any of em
but i have noticed in all my rewatches
i dont tend to stray into the forth series
i dont hate it
it just doesn't grab me
and the constant TOS refs
did nothing for me
to someone of my generation
TOS was about one step less ridiculous and campy
than the adam west batman show
(bracing myself for the hate)

it did feel stretched out
smike had cannon fodder written all over him
and the ending where the klingon doctor
suggests he go into cranial reconstruction
oh dear

they klingons we know and love would slaughter the hell out of him for deforming there race

they never address how different riker and troi look either
must be delta radiation poisoning

Im a bit of an completist when I want to do a rewatch of any of the series. So I'll watch all of the episodes, good and bad (or worse).

I haven't watched the show in a while but only episode stands out right now and that's the Vulcan zombie one...just looked it up: Impulse...kinda creeps me out lol

did they not think let rip off as much vulcan technical drawings and specs as possible to help kick xindi ass

Same as the one on the TNG part of the forum

For me it is.

Hatchery
Daedalus

I think that is all.

I've been catching up on the episodes on Amazon Prime. I gave up watching the series after the first few episodes back in the day. I've decided that I won't be watching the series finale, which sounds like it was pretty bad.

The thing about TATV is that it's not the worst episode of the series, it's just bizarrely beside the point, as though the writers were only vaguely familiar with the show. The crew we've followed for four seasons are now holodeck recreations, and a major character is killed off for no good reason.
So it's poor, but still not as painful to watch as Precious Cargo or Extinction.

The best way to view TATV is as a fiction within the Trek universe, i.e. it's a holodeck program that bears only a vague resemblance to the real NX-01.

TATV (d'uh)

A Night In Sickbay (I generally don't like the feeling of embarrassment)

Dear Doctor (it's a perversion of science, of ethics, of moral principles, and of common sense)

I guess that's it.
Pretty much the same as Mach5 said, but I do enjoy watching the reviews of those episodes on the SFDebris website. Much more entertaining that the episodes themselves.

It fascinates me, how ENT fans are towards the show vs. how I am towards it. I love "These Are the Voyages," despite its shortcomings, because it's entertaining and means to be. Of course, ENT fans hate it, and yet, they love "Observer Effect," which I find to be dull ... boring ... uninspired drivel. I've wondered, occasionally, if they're only contrary to be contrary ... just to see what I'll type, in response to it.

"Computer, End Program" = knife in side...

TATV has it's ups and downs. It's not a bad episode, but it's not a apt Series or franchise ender by any stretch.

'Observer Effect' is outstanding trek. The first time I watched it I knew the series was only 4 seasons long and I actually thought Hoshi died. :(:wah::wah:
