Episodes You Love w/ Moments You Hate

Odo

What are some episodes you enjoy your evening love I have moments that you can’t stand? For me what jumps to mind, is The Enemy Within (I hate Spock’s joke at the end), and Lifesigns (the Paris is a traitor subplot was poorly done)

I love the general concept and atmosphere of “Wolf in the Fold”, but Scotty’s potential ‘hatred of all women’ as a result of a work accident is beyond cringeworthy.

Dagger of the Mind is great, but I can do without the mind meld scene.

Similarly with A Private Little War, love it except the weird sensual gyrating of Nona when she heals Kirk. Kind of cringy.

The episode of Picard that brought back Ro Laren. She's an amazing cool character and we didn't get enough of her in TNG, then they go and do the same thing un Picard. They bring her back then tear her away from us again.

"All Good Things..." - excellent episode and finale, but every time I see 'past Data' and I look at his rank... it bugs me. Glaring costume error, making him a Lt. j.g.

"RULES OF ENGAGEMENT" - Sisko wears 3 pips, not 4, during one of the acts in the court martial room... I believe the third act. DO NOT demote The Sisko! (They seemed to correct this with CGI at some point, but I remember the initial airing and my recording of it very, very well.)

"Turnabout Intruder" has some great performances and a nice body swap/hijack concept, but the episode can't make up its mind if Lester is truly insane, if it's making a social statement about sexism, or if it's slamming the production team about denying female captains. Or all of the above. It's simply a mess, and a cringeworthy one that even outdoes "Wolf in the Fold"'s major gaffes, like what @Supervisor 194 said.

I really love TNG “Pen Pals” but the makeup for Sarjenka is not very good.

That, and the end scene of Data giving her the magical musical conch shell is just mindboggingly stupid, given how the mind wipe procedure was experimental to begin with, never mind being used on a humanoid they're unfamiliar with. The conch could easily revive those memories. At least she didn't forget how to breathe. Now, I can roll with that due to a subtle gloss of "fairy tale" optimism and it's on the tail end of a story that's already pretty great stuff - that alone isn't bad... Indeed, the rest of the episode is legitimately fantastic... But that ending with the shell - it's just mindbogglingly bad and so out of proportion with the rest of the story. It's done all in the name of a "feelz" moment that can only be described as "schmaltzy" "pathetic". I'll still stand up for the rest of the story; it's otherwise an example of TNG having hit its stride early on. A lot of season 2 does hit the mark nicely...
