I just rewatched 'Good Shepherd' this afternoon and it reminded me of why I loved it so much. Aside from B'Elanna's calling Seven 'our Borg Queen', I love that side of Janeway. Dedication to every single member of Voyager's crew, personally leading the mission and kind of taking them under her wing.

(I also love the almost J/C moment at the end in sickbay. )

Sorry even though I have seen them all I don't know episode names by heart. The one where Neeliex dies and 7 brings him back and he questions his people's beliefs and religious ideolgy to the point that he himself is just not the same.

That is the one I was talking about also. It is called Mortal Coil

Voyager ran during my teenage rebellion years, so my personal impact moments are mostly bad - realizing Star Trek could be pretty corny, realizing they were recycling plots, realizing that Star Trek did not have a blanket 'get out of jail free' for being Star Trek. Not fun things to go through, but necessary.

I think "The Gift" was where it all hit home. I was devastated and furious. Star Trek never made me feel that way before.

Probably the best Voyager moment for me was "Barge of the Dead". I just loved that one, and I still do.

Latent Image, the Doctor was at his most human in the aftermath of his decision of who to treat first, this would be my favorite Doctor centered episode. Other episodes that impacted me are: Counterpoint, Memorial, Year of Hell, and Course: Oblivion.

"One Small Step" had me in tears. I grew up watching the space race, and saw the first moon landing when I was barely ten, so I've been fascinated with space exploration as long as I can remember. Just a look at the "early days" (as the 24th-century Voyagers would think of them) of space travel would have been enough to capture my attention, but John Kelly's tremendous, though doomed, gallantry moved me to my core. (I still get a lump in my throat thinking about it.) And when Seven whispered the World Series results that Kelly had wanted to know, I smiled and was genuinely glad that she "got it" -- she understood why what Kelly had done, and who he was, mattered.

I heard a lot of fans complain afterward about Chakotay's ill-advised decision to try to rescue Kelly's ship, and how it showed him to be a terrible officer. Me, I couldn't blame him -- I'd have taken the same chance in a heartbeat. Maybe that only proves that I'd be a lousy officer too, but I don't care.

I really liked Mortal Coil. Probably on of my favorites. It brings up so many 'real life' questions and concerns. Just a great episode. Neelix is so underrated as a character.
