Episode Release

Will discovery be like most Netflix shows, ( Narcos, house of Cards) where the entire season will be available in one go?

Normally I do that also. But I have waited so long for a new trek series, that I appreciate it, that the fun lasts longer than three days.

BTW I also watch over Netflix. (Germany)

Netflix is doing this now with multiple shows from the States............especially CW shows.

I got season 3 of narcos, the previous seasons of house of cards etc and binge watched

The problem with discovery is if i store the episodes to watch all together it will be impossible to avoid spoilers

I'm the opposite. I don't like seasons of shows being released all at once because I don't like binge-watching. So I end up seeing or hearing spoilers from people who watched it all in one sitting. :)

Plus I like being able to absorb each episode individually. For weekly shows, if it's an episode I like, I might watch it once or twice more before the next episode. With full released seasons, it's very rare for me to watch something again.

are the first two episodes going to be avail on the same night? I thought I heard something like that.

The thought of being drip fed on a weekly basis does not appeal to me, usually i wait for a season to finish and binge watch
Binge watching is fine for some shows, but I'm glad they're doing a weekly format for DSC like Trek has traditionally always done. It allows people to discuss the show online without having to spoiler code everything because you don't know how far into the series everyone else is, and it gives you a week to discuss and reflect on the previous episode before the next one comes along. I know there are always things I miss that get pointed out online and I like to go back and watch again sometimes, therefore making sure you're not missing any context before going into the next episode. Also, weekly episodes give you some time to decompress between viewings, whereas binge watching often feels like a constant push to wrap up the season once you get about 1/2 to 3/4ths of the way through.
