I gather the closed caption says Kzinti, but it sounded like Xindi with a slightly mispronounced X to me. Meh, I guess it's down to the TV speakers.Xindi or Kzin? Xindi would have been absorbed or quarantined a long time ago by the Feds
Though if they seceded it would make sense they were a pain
So after they buried Thad, why didn't he go all Pet Sematary?![]()
And wasn't it lucky that Elfwich just happened to find a Fenris medic alert tag while hiding in a random corner of the Borg cube. Where did that come from?
Elnor conveniently found a Fenris alling card plastic thingie (like the one Seven gave Picard) on the cub, just dangling in front of him.
I think I agree with that, but I still stand by my statement about Capaldi's years getting better and better, even if they didn't quite reach the heights of Smith's. Both were pretty great overall.Nah. Moffat's Doctor Who reached its pinnacle during Series Six.
most of that had to do with Capaldi being able to elevate the scripts given to him by astounting performances. He is the best actor to ever play that part.I think I agree with that, but I still stand by my statement about Capaldi's years getting better and better, even if they didn't quite reach the heights of Smith's. I never thought Jurati was brainwashed, she was either in it from the start or brought into it during a visit from the Commodore.Maybe she didn't intentionally do it, but was told to push through some upgrade that had the kill switch in it? I just think if Jurati had been brainwashed by Oh it would have been telegraphed a bit more when she went to recruit Jurati.
I'm wondering if maybe the Synths went off script and destroyed the fleet when they were not supposed to? Maybe the original intention was just to destroy the surface installations with as minimal casualties as possible, hence why First Contact day was chosen. Whatever code was implanted in the synths might have made them sentient to some degree and they went savage.
Has the original warning been corrupted to such an extent that the Zhat Vash have lost all reason, or do they have a very, very good reason for what they do, to the extent that they would be willing to sacrifice their own population.
It smells like a self fulfilling prophecy to me and has from the start, doesn't mean it will be though.that's been kinda the thought in my head. Time Traveler (or at least message, or apparently memories in this instance) from slightly more into the future experiences catastrophe, something related to Synths, and escapes or is thrown way into Romulan past. Passes along the warnings, which leads to secret cabal to try and stop it. Romulus must have played a part in it somehow to the extent that they had to let it die to try and avoid the dark future they had been shown?
Of course, if that was enough to stop it (and it would dramatically change the timeline to be sure), why keep operating after that? Hang the Mission Accomplished banner, have a Romulan Ale (but not much, it's rare now), and kick back. Could have somehow triggered the supernova in addition to scuttling the rescue effort...
If you're that distracted by the camera motion, then perhaps for you the story isn't that captivating.
I didn't notice any camera "jerking' at all, I was too enraptured by what was happening on screen.
Perhaps because of the Seven-Plus Years Will spent as Jean-Luc's Number 1.
Old habits die hard.

I was under the impression that she was specifically doing something to disable the tracker, which just happened to be dangerous to her.ut, after coming to the realization that she was putting her comrades in danger, Agnes did what any rational person would do and attempted suicide. Because killing yourself disables the trackers in your body.
Nepenthe's host-star wasn't identified. This time. I'm slightly disappointed. Especially with the "Kzinti" reference.Pardon?

It would've been so funny if Picard accidentally ruffled Will's hair and called him a good boy.As long as Picard doesn't say "SIT, Number One!" or "Roll over!" A new old habit.
Was it done on First Contact day because the Zhat Vash know what happened with the Borg, although that doesn't really fit due to the Zhat Vash being founded millenia ago.

Sure but even so it doesn't explain why they would sacrifice the rescue plan as well.My assumption was that it was done on First Contact Day because it was a holiday, so there would be fewer people working and so fewer Starfleet casualties. Which implies to me that whoever was behind hit was probably involved with Starfleet somehow, and that the aim of the sabotage was to get synths banned rather than kill as many people as possible.
What if any Fleet Starships that show up are there just to shut Picard and his Crew down? Finally watched the episode.
Nice to see more of the La Sirena, as someone else mentioned we now know that the medibay is about 10-15m behind and one deck below the bridge.
I am surprised there are no deck plans yet by anyone.
This weeks episode indicates that Jurati was not Zhat Vash before her visit by the Commodore, Jurati was perfectly placed to trigger the attack on Mars but it could have been done by another, she is still an obvious choice though, perhaps we will find out for sure next week if she spills her guts, its about time everyone was told.
She now knows that she shouldn't have killed Maddox, I just hope that the whole end of the world vision isn't a hoax or misunderstood for her sake, it may be that the Zhat Vash are right to take the actions that they do.
Loved Nepenthe and the Rikers, I do wonder about Thad and this Captain Crandall (who is he really), how did he know where Soji's system of origin is, has he been there before and if so did he by chance take a small boy named Thad there for treatment.
Hugh.
I see that there are some who are hoping to see the USS Titan, with some who don't like the idea being a bit too quick to wave the canon flag, at this point we could see any number of known ships, whether they are canon or not makes no difference because if we see them that makes them canon, top of the likely list include:
Captain Riker - USS Titan
Captain Geordi - USS Challenger
Captain Worf - USS Enterprise E
I would love to see an Odyssey class but it is extremely unlikely, what if they give us all three of the above warping in for the cliffhanger at the end of episode 10 as a counter for Picard not wanting to get them involved.
This one gets a 9 as I want to keep the 10 for what is to come.
Its possible, that reason could be used as a cover for them to help him as well if needs be though. What if any Fleet Starships that show up are there just to shut Picard and his Crew down?
Not to help, but to haul them off to jail.
