Spoilers Episode 6 Preview Images

I'm loving the attention to the set and costuming for this installment. Just seeing all the colors and differences in lighting and ambience. More glimpses at Saru's 'living' quarters is a huge plus, in my opinion.

^ I absolutely agree! The set and prop design on this show is out of this world (pun intended).

I love the look of Saru's quarters, but — just like with those windows in Burnham's lab — I do wonder where all this light is supposed to be coming from. Either they are just taking some creative license with those light placements for dramatic purposes or these really are supposed to be light panels after all.

It would make sense of have such panels. Light is essential for human's mental wellbeing.

Love planetside episodes! And the Ba'ul are the creepiest antagonist species I've seen in a long time; I remember feeling that way about the Borg and the Founders, especially the lone Female Changeling we kept seeing...

Can't wait till Thursday.

Interesting they are letting Ash keep his combadge.

There were black badges in season one too. In “Context is for Kings,” one of the prisoners notes them as they walk the halls of Discovery.

Which is interesting as to why it wasn’t a plot point played out earlier and suggests maybe the original intent was to make Lorca Section 31.

That might still be a revelation for all we know. Or at least still the writers' intent. If Section 31 found out about Lorca when he appeared in the Prime Universe (who knows what they were monitoring?), they'd learn about the Mirror Universe at that point. Lorca could tell them about the Spore Drive his Stamets was developing, Section 31 could confirm Prime Stamets is also working on a Sprore Drive in their Universe, then it would just be a matter of maneuvering everything so Lorca could be in command of Discovery and getting Stamets assigned there.

Section 31 would immediately see the benefits of a Spore Drive. If Leland had inside connections to Starfleet Command and/or a direct link to Cornwell, then he'd know that Georgiou is from the Mirror Universe, and he'd go looking for her on Qo'noS. Enter the Deleted Scene from "Will You Take My Hand?"

That first image, looks like she's about to break out into song.

With all that makeup, it still could be Julie Andrews under there.

I suppose we can assume they save the Kelpians in the end, but I wonder how they will leave things? Will the Kelpians decide they just want to be left alone? They're not quite Starfleet ready. Does SF do protectorates?
