Enterprise reveal... what did you think?

I really liked the reveal. I loved the angles and the few short fly-bys that they did, and the music was incredible. Enterprising Young Men is by-far my most listened to music from the movie. They hit it spot on. With that said, my favorite shot of the Enterprise is still seeing it rise up out of Titan. Oh. My. God.

I agre on both - though I did love that initial shot of the E flying through the wreckage seeing the belly of the ship.

I don't know why - it just seemed to be a really nice view.

I'm probably in the minority for liking the distant shot during Pikes shuttle run.

You mean when he was heading over to the Narada? I liked those views as well. There were just a lot of neat shots in general in that movie.

Thats the one. I quite liked the similar shots with the Kelvin and the Narada... I would say it was scope or a similar excuse - I just thougth it looked cool.

I say minority (I don't know for sure) only as I've read a few comments against them in the grading thread. I'd pull out an example but that threads longer than a porn stars man bits.

I wish they showed it off more and made a bit more of a production of it.

Not the mastubatory porn levels in TMP, mind you, but more than TADA here it is! Now we're going to park in it and move on with the the story.

It's also interesting that the "moment" from when McCoy calls Kirk's attention to the window that the "TADA!" moment wasn't of the ship but of the dock.

Yeah, they certainly could've done a lot more to show off the ship but they made it down-right pedestrian.

The reveal itself was adequate if not awe-inspiring. In fact, it is probably one of the weaker reveals in Trek history with pretty much every other one from the NX-01 reveal to the Defiant reveal to the Enterprise reveal or Voyager reveal to have been better executed.

Me, I kept wondering where the backwards-flipping spaceman was.
Me too. I took no notice of the big-E.

Overall I was blown away by the absolute state of the at CG of the Enterprise in this movie, and the jellyfish, and the Narada, and Vulcan...:techman::techman::techman:
