I figure this was probably asked a trillion times in the past, but just for the fun of it: Which title did you like more? The original title Enterprise or the later version Star Trek – Enterprise?

Me, I always liked the simple Enterprise title more. I think it just looked better on the screen and made the whole series feel more novel and audacious. I don't necessarily think the producers were right in their assumption that the omission of Star Trek in the title would bring more people to watch the show. But I liked the plainness of it.

You?

Agree! I prefer ENTERPRISE. If it was a sequel series I would say ST: ENT would be fine, but since this is a prequal to TREK, ENTERPRISE is better and makes more sense.

I didn't feel strongly either way about the show's title, but I did like when they added Star Trek ...

I think the title should have included "Star Trek" from the beginning, but Star Trek: Enterprise just sounds redundant to me.

Should have called the ship Endeavour or Challenger. :p

Star Trek Enterprise. Let's credit what it is and pay historical tribute to its being there.

I prefer Enterprise.

The title says it all. Adding Star Trek to it made it redundant.

UPN did that because they were afraid people wouldn't know it was a Star Trek show.

Punks.

How stupid do the ''suits'' at PARAMOUNT really think we are?:vulcan: of course people knew what ''enterprise'' was. For goodness sake that show had one of the highest rated debut's in UPN history!(I know it dosen't say much considering the network) The only reason the ratings went south of the border was because of bad word of mouth & boring episodes! changing the name was ''not'' going to help it!

Star Trek is what it is. A show cannot be itself if it is afraid of its name. Nobody was fooled that it wasn't Star Trek, in fact leaving it off probably hurt the show.

TPTB had an identity crisis. Plus, it does get rather confusing after 6 ships have already (or have not yet) been named Enterprise.

They weren't afraid of calling it Star Trek, they just thought that calling it Enterprise would be obvious. It's not that anyone was trying to fool anybody.

They also thought that calling it Star Trek: Enterprise was redundant. UPN made the decision, not B&B.

I prefered it being called just Enterprise. Set it apart a bit from the others.
