Just watched TWOK: Enterprise crawls slowly out of the Space Dock at one quarter impulse...looked more like one quarter thrusters. <sigh>This is incredible. Really shows the beauty of these old ship designs when combined with current rendering techniques. I remember the novelisation of Star Trek VI describes the Enterprise "screaming out of Spacedock" at one quarter impulse, whereas the movie itself shows a rather sedate exit, so this jives nicely with that scene from the book that's been in my head for thirty years. I really hope there'll be more movie effects sequences reimagined in this way!
