Well, I'm up to Episode 2.18 on a rewatch, though I missed several S1 - S3 episodes during initial run. My opinion has always been S1 and S2 were meh, with a few gems.
I don't get along with Scott Bakula well, there's just something about him that irritates me for some reason. I enjoyed most of Quantum Leap despite him, not because of him. Al, on the other hand is awesome, as is Cavill.
So, I'm not sure if I was harsh on the show in first run, because I was spoiled by B5, DS9, and Farscape, or if it was my Scott Bakula Bias, or my preconceived notions of what the show was supposed to be about <Dammit

> (IE: Manny Coto brought me what I expected the show to be from the start) or maybe my standards have lowered since there is no current Space Opera available
Well, I've really enjoyed most of what I've seen so far, lots of variety of stories and aliens and ongoing plot threads. I like most of the characters (Main and recurring, matter of fact, I can't think of a recurring character I don't look forward to when I see they are appearing). The Suliban Temporal Cold War irritated me to no end on first run, but, I'm totally down with it this time
I'm looking forward to the last run of episodes for S2 and looking forward to S3 (I think I watched half of S3 episodes during first run, though throughout the season, not limited to one end of the season or the other), as I did feel the more obvious arc was more enjoyable at the time (curious to see if I still enjoy the change of format/story direction more than my new appreciation for S1 and S2) and I recall loving S4, and though I didn't miss an episode of S4, I haven't watched it since, so I'm expecting that to be a treat too.
