Enterprise Dilemma For Me

I would go head and watch TATV. Save Pegasus for later on when you are watching TNG. Once you watch TATV (let it sink in), go back later on and watch Broken Bow (ENT) and then TATV right after again. Your perspective might change.

As someone who loathes TATV....I'd say watch it, if only to see for yourself how godawful the episode is. Discussing it here doesn't do it justice.

...or maybe you'll find out if you're one of the few people that doesn't entirely loathe the episode. Either way, you should make up your own mind.

IMO, anyway.

IMO its worse spocks brain how it ever got cleared to air is beyond me, its like a slap to the face of fans. BTW did i tell you that i hate it?:klingon:

If you're actually watching the all series in order - watch These Are The Voyages right after The Pegasus. I DON'T consider it a 'companion piece' to The Pegasus bt in the end, TaTV IS a TNG episode that just uses ENT characters and sets as 'Guest Stars' (and does a oiss poor job of it too - but again, it IS a TNG episode; it was just made 12 years after All Good Things...

Agreed 100%. TATV is a TNG episode. A bad, redundant TNG episode. And a Valentine to the fans. Yes, a Valentine... :adore:

If by "Valentine" you mean past-the-expiration-date chocolates in a battered box that nobody else wanted to buy.:p

BTW, I think I understand what the Beebs meant by "Valentine to the fans."

They gave us Riker & Troy, Will & Deanna, the only real, warm, 'true love conquers all / meant to be together till death do us part' Star Trek couple. They wanted to remind us that it is the only real Star Trek romance, and all those that came after are blah, and that we should appreciate this reminder.

So if you did not enjoy the "Fat Riker / Boob Job MILF Princess" show, you are just not a real Trekkie.

Rick Berman is a God, never forget this, or you just might end up in hell  (I myself switched congregations and now bow to JJ/Kurtz/Bobby holy trinity).

Yes but... Braga thought it would work! :alienblush: Why didn't it work? Oh my God, why? Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyy???:eek::eek:

Because those bastards killed TRIP.

They not only killed him. He went down cheap...like a punk. He basically spazzed out and committed suicide over SHRAN'S DAUGHTER...and to take out aliens that probably wouldn't have intimidated Wesley Crusher.:scream:

I think the only part of the plot you've left out is what the uniforms look like. Not really much need for the OP to watch the thing now.

Not necessarily... the OP could be a masochist.
I would recommend watching it for one reason: So you can join in the bashing. But watch it in the order it was aired -- that is, at the end of your ENT marathon.* Otherwise you won't fully appreciate how retrograde it is. All the character development that occurred from Broken Bow to Terra Prime shoved out an airlock.

*You might want to rewatch Pegasus just before as a refresher.

To be fair, "TATV" is nowhere near as shit-awful as "Sub Rosa(TNG)," "Move Along Home(DS9)" or the two Irish holodeck episodes on VOYAGER. But that doesn't say much.

Maybe, but none of these episodes insulted the fans and felt like a 'middle finger.' They were simply bad and forgettable (and when it comes to "Sub rosa," completely cringe worthy). And of course (need I even say this?), none of them were the finale, the farewell, the goodbye. As far as I'm concerned, TATV was B&B's being cruel to us (intentionally or unintentionally, I dunno).
