Storm Front is pretty unforgivable. It's worth watching just to see for yourself, but it's the kind of episode that makes you wonder just why you're watching.
TATV...at least we know now that the people who made it are aware that it had problems. I don't think as a fan I'm entitled to anything, but I wouldn't mind an apology for Storm Front.

I can't say SF is worse than TATV though. SF is just lame. Sure it doesn't make sense, but the whole TCW leading up to it didn't make much sense either. TATV is so bad it's actually offensive. What an irrelavant and all-around crappy ending.
Why would anyone apologize for an episode people barely ever even talk about? Storm Front was long ago filed under rubbish, and gotten over (meaning - fans don't really care, haven't in a long time).
TATV is different, more than half a decade later people still cry about it big time, because it offended them and added a sense of incompleteness to the show.

If you’d like to clarify, revise, or withdraw that recommendation, I’m always open to more input from you.
Because I'd just rewatched it the night before, and thought it was a real kick in the nuts, metaphorically speaking. After the kind of moral complexity they were working with in S3, to go back to evil alien Nazis (from the future!) was a real comedown. I'm more disappointed than anything else.
Whenever I catch an episode again, I look for it to be better than I remembered, and I usually pick up on things that I didn't before. I re-watched "Fight or Flight" last week, for example, and it made me realize what a good episode it was on a lot of levels that I hadn't considered. "Strange New World" was the same--I had a much greater respect for Conner Trinneer's acting, knowing that he spent the next 4 years as a basically affable guy, and here he played a raving paranoid quite convincingly. Needless to say, that didn't happen with "Storm Front."
Whatever I say in here is based about 50% on what I remember and 50% on whatever I've DVRed on SyFy in the last week, so take it all with a grain of salt.

They are all good episodes. Some may be more Trek than others.
A couple of random thoughts:
1) The CG mall in Stigma looks hilarious on a 61” screen.
2) The styrofoam set for Rura Penthe in Judgment looks so TOSy. Watching a show from 44 years ago, that’s part of the charm. By 21st-century standards it looks pretty cheap, but I choose to see it as an homage to TOS.

I really am enjoying this series. It’s more like real people making tough decisions in extremely difficult situations instead of the lofty ideals of TOS or the even loftier ones of TNG and DS9.
Like the Enterprise crew causing the destruction of the Seleya with all hands in Impulse. It makes sense, but I can’t imagine things going down that way in a TOS or TNG episode. Speaking of that episode, Blalock’s performance is amazing.
Or Reed and Hayes talking to Archer and advocating the destruction of the weapons complex — and everybody within it — in The Shipment. Nobody would talk that way in TNG, and if they did they would be severely rebuked by Picard. And Picard would never interrogate Gralik at gunpoint the way Archer does.
Gene Roddenberry probably would have hated this series, but I’m enjoying it. I love Roddenberry’s vision of Trek, but after 24 seasons of it we didn’t need four more of the same. Had they gone too far in the other direction and turned Archer into Jack Bauer, that wouldn’t have fit the franchise at all. I think they found a good balance.

Favorite episode? I don’t know. I’m enjoying the series much, much more than I expected to, to the point where almost every episode I see becomes one of my favorites. Last night, I would have said that the two episodes I mentioned in my last post — Impulse and The Shipment — were among my favorites. Having just finished Similitude a few minutes ago, I have to say that episode is one of my favorites.
