ENTER: TV/Media Avatar Contest - Christmas

I agree with Starkers, Die Hard is a Christmas film and it isn't fantastical or scifictional.

John McClane uses Christmas-themed tape to strap a gun behind his back, for cryin' out loud!

"Now I have a machine gun. Ho. Ho. Ho."

Will be back later with my entry, soon as I think of something...

Bones 'The Santa in the Slush' (season three)

If you really have to disqualify Die Hard despite there being a christmas tree in the background and the movie explicitly being about terrorists ruining John McClanes christmas day with his family, then I enter this new one.

From "Weihnachten bei Hoppenstedts" by German comedy genius Loriot depicting/parodying the traditional german christmas celebrations in a very normal family. :)

No votes guaranteed, except by those who actually know it. ;)

Never mind, go ahead and use the Die Hard avatar. I was being a bit too strict with the rules earlier.

Dammit, I've got two ready, and I can't choose. Do I go festive or cool?!

I say post them both, then decide.

Alright, the festive one:

I'd personally go with this one. :)

As for Die Hard, the way I see it, it's not particularly a Christmas movie, but an action movie set within the holiday season, the same way Iron Man 3 is set during the Holidays, and the sentiments therein are never explicitly about Christmas.

And the cool one:

Yeah. As much as I love "The Little Lord Fauntleroy" with Alec Guinness, that picture is simply not of good quality and doesn't translate well to av-size.

So, yeah, I'm going with the Christmas message from Riggs & Murtaugh.

Soooo, funny thing ... I came up with something even better.

- Christmas Snow on Christmas Day... and Jack and Janet, too!
The infamous socks... to avoid insulting either roommate Jack wore one of each pair, and when someone told Jack he had odd socks on, Janet said, "He has another pair just like it at home."
