Enter Miscellaneous Avatar Contest - Greatly Missed

:sigh:

Maybe you have to be a member of the baby-boom generation to appreciate this man’s humor, his class and professionalism, and his influence on American entertainment, but I’m going with Johnny Carson.

I thought using Carson myself. I still find it odd that he's no longer around.

Hawaii is my dream island. Unfortunately I have never visited there. I greatly miss it.

Nice idea, except that's NOT an avatar. To be av, it needs to be 140X140 pixels, max.

Wow, another contest I have something to enter!

I miss Homicide: Life on the Street! Namely, The Box, people!

I was going to make some more of Maurice Gibb and The Bee Gees, but somehow I thought that was too obscure here.

I would have recognized the Bee Gees and ol' Maurice.

Maurice Gibb and the Bee Gees obscure? Back in the late '70s, they dominated the pop charts. You couldn't spin the radio dial without hearing a Bee Gees tune.

And I thought some of the younger whelps here might not know who Johnny Carson was.

Carson rocked. I have some of his "Best Of" DVDs around here somewhere.

Yeah I meant here the youngins would still think disco white suits gross or something. I much prefer their earlier stuff and their most recent last material.

I'll have to make some pics then. Strangely I've made a lot of screen captures from my dvds but no smaller avatars. Yeah, suffice to say I am a huge fan! I collect all sorts of their stuff and am only missing the Eaten Alive lp collaboration with Diana Ross to complete my collection. :)

Yes records! Now there is an avatar, just some good old vinyl!

ETA: That didn't take long

^ Hehe. I heard a radio commercial the other day: 'I never thought I'd miss when gas was $3 a gallon!'

The Bee Gees were fantastic in the 60s. "Holiday," "Massachusetts," "Words," et cetera. They did some good stuff in the 70s, too, like "Edge of the Universe." And I do admit that I like "Jive Talkin.'" :rommie:

65 pole positions.
41 race wins.
3 world championships.

But that's only part of the story.
