I’ve got both of you beat. I remember when gas was around 30 cents a gallon. For premium. And you got your windshield cleaned and your oil, water and tires checked.
You youngsters today . . .
I remember getting oil, tires and water checked, too. I don't recall the cheapest gas I ever pumped (but I think it's the 75 cents/gal. I posted above).
Stan would get my vote.For me, it's either this guy or even Gary Gygax.

I put Stan up here because he was a great man and seemed very giving of his ideas... he probably made friends easily. But, of course, that's not the only reason I used him. I love physicality of the models and props his workshop makes/made, and the sheer innovation behind the great creations that came out of the shop. Shame that this kind of thing is being used less and less.

i think it refers to the scene set in the city of Zion where they have a rave in Matrix 2... y'know, the Zion rave scene...
