since the holidays are upon us and these contests tend to drag over the holidays, I thought it's the right time to start reviewing the past year.

Good or bad, what happened in 2015? Put the event, image or important person of the year in avatar form.

Let's leave TV & Media out of this, movies and fictional TV shows, anyway (News and such are fine), since I expect there will be corresponding contests in those areas soon enough.

October 19, 2015 - Justin Trudeau leads the Liberal party to an election victory that gives them a majority government, and ends a decade of Conservative rule, and Stephen Harper's tenure as Prime Minister.

OK, maybe no one outside of Canada cares about this, but it was huge here...

October 19, 2015 - Justin Trudeau leads the Liberal party to an election victory that gives them a majority government, and ends a decade of Conservative rule, and Stephen Harper's tenure as Prime Minister.

Beat me to it. There's also the NDP majority win in Alberta earlier this year, but that's of even more local interest.

So:

Terror attacks in Paris (and all the various honorable expressions of solidarity and dishonorable political posturing and exploitation that have followed them). The pic could just as easily be a solidarity demonstration after the Charlie Hebdo attacks or the November attacks... which is the point.

Pluto is love..)) The landing of SpaceX Falcon 9.. A great event which means the ability to make the flights much cheaper than they are now. It revealed the future of the space investigations for many years)

Terror attacks in Paris

I Pluto.

The normalization of diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba beginning with the official reopening of our respective embassies in Havana and Washington for the first time since 1961.

Last call, poll goes up on New Year's Day. Hope for one or two (or more) more entries, there's been a lot going on this year that's still not represented. Seriously, no GOP primaries disaster, yet. No FIFA arrests, yet. Nothing about Black Lives Matter, yet. I could go on.
