ENTER! Misc. Avatar Contest - Road Signs

*bangs head on keyboard* Some architects really need brains. Urgently!
That sign reminds of the scene in Kiss of Death, where Richard Widmark, laughing maniacally, pushes an old lady in a wheelchair down the stairs.

Widmark's laugh inspired Frank Gorshin's portrayal of The Riddler.

While this sign is absolutely head-bangable (what is wrong with these people?) this doesn't qualify as a traffic sign or place name sign along the roadside.

That'd be disputable. It's an official sign, installed by the town authorities on a roadside. It's for 4-wheeled vehicles, even :D
But gimme a sec and I'll try to find one that qualifies the strict definition.

Here we go: a splendid example of German punctuality. Even beavers stick to the schedule:

Not as my official entry but just to prove that this one is an honest-to-god roadsign, here is the sign in its natural habitat ;) :

These are hilarious. :rommie:

What's the deadline? I have an exceptionally busy schedule at work this week.

[verbose, tiresome tirade about the unfairness of life in general and this contest in particular]

I can't believe no-one has posted this one yet:

What the hell?

So, north takes you to Wales and Daleks and west takes you to bathrooms, trains, boats and parking.

Plus, really, no one would want a sign taking you TO Daleks. You need a sign telling you how to get AWAY from Daleks. ;)

Straight on for dragons and daleks, left for the steam railway, the canal, and a car park with toilets.

Welsh daleks? I'm trying to imagine daleks shouting "Exterminate!" in a Welsh accent and it's totally not working.

^LOL people on that road need a helicopter or the dry land equivalent of a submarine (would that be a subterrestrian?)

Difodi! Difodi! (I think)
Almost correct :bolian: Difodi is the basic form of the verb (to exterminate) but you need the second person plural imperative. That's easy to build in case of regular verbs (which this one seems to be, fortunately) : just add -wch to the stem and you get:

Difodwch!

[pronounciation is approximately dee-vo-dooch with the v like the v in five and the ch like in Scottish och]

btw eliminate! = dileuuch! [dee-ley-ooch] :D
