This is my first post and i don't know if I'm doing this right, so please excuse if I make a mistake. There doesn't appear to be any way to make a general reply to the subject discussion only replies to individual posts, so i clicked on the last post to make this one.

I've been a Trek fan for decades, just haven't been able to follow it all as closely as I might have preferred. I just went online last year and so i'm still just getting slowly acquainted with the forum. Never was much of a social talker to begin with, so forgive me if i don't follow all the traditional guide-lines. My step-brother told me to shut up so much when I was in grade school that I've learned to hold most of it in until it explodes, but I don't think that'll be a problem with this subject-matter.

So that's about it, my humble greeting.

Hi! I overlooked this thread but, I figure, better late than never. I've been a fan of Star Trek for decades. My favorite series is TNG. I've just started posting and feeling my way around the boards. So far, so good!

A warm and hearty welcome to all the newbies who've posted since the last time I was in here... :)

Hello everyone. I am new to this board.

My name is Matt, and I am 35 and I live in the Poconos (PA). I work as a Quality Manager (Chemical Engineer) for a Chemical Company in New Jersey. I am married and have two kids (plus two step-kids)...yes I have a "herd" as my wife calls it.

I have been a Trek fan since I was a kid seeing reruns of the Original Series. I have been a avid and faithful watcher of every Trek series since TNG came out during my college years.

My favorite Trek series is Deep Space Nine, but to be honest Enterprise is becoming a close second. My favorite movie is First Contact.

My other interest is Motor Racing. I am a fanatic about the Champ Car and Formula One series (as well as other various racing series). I also used to be a big comic book collector (big X-Men fan), but I have pretty much given that up with prodding from my wife (she has had me selling them off on eBay for a few months now).

Anyway, I have been visiting this site on and off for about a year and finally decided to join a few days ago.

I'm Ian, 23 years old. I'm from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. I've been watching Star Trek since the first season of TNG. I have to admit that one of the first episodes I saw was 'Conspiracy' (the one with the exploding head), and that scared me away from Trek for a few years - I was only 7 or 8 at the time. A summer rerun of 'The Best of Both Worlds' a couple of years later got me hooked (assimilated?), and I've been following the franchise ever since.

My favourite series is TNG (Picard's my favourite Trek character), but I find that DS9's characters and storylines are much better developed. I'm sorry to hear that ENT will be cancelled this year - I felt my heart drop when I found out - the series has finally found its "space legs" this season. I sent a complaint letter to UPN.

I'm a graduate of journalism college, and I freelance here and there (hence my screenname ;) ). I also work part-time as a substitute librarian.

This is my first post on TrekBBS. Glad to be here. :D

I am Jeff Collinsworth....aka lordbat. Mostly lurking in this forum...but have posted elsewhere.....my friends...Enterprise is not dead....as long as we remeber it...I got this in my email today....

Greetings,
This is Dave Larsen from the Dayton Daily News. I am looking to speak with some local "Star Trek" fans for a story on the demise of "Star Trek: Enterprise." I wish to discuss the series' cancellation and the fact that there won't be a "Star Trek" show on television for the first time in 18 years. Please pass the word to your crew members and have any interested parties send their name and daytime phone number to me by email at dlarsen@daytondailynews.com. I will be conducting interviews on Monday, Feb. 7, and will contact as many folks as my schedule permits. Thanks for your help in this matter.

Best wishes,
Dave Larsen

Hello, I'm Vanessa aka vessa and I am new here. About me...hmmm...well I am 23 and live in Clacton, Essex in England and work in the Jobcentre - signing people on benefits and finding them jobs. I have loved Star Trek for as long as I can remember and my current favourite series are DS9 and of course Enterprise (though I am not happy about current news of its forthcoming cancellation) I look forward to posting here in future.

Yes, hugs and welcomes to all the new folks. I hope that you all stick around even with the sad news. We have 4 whole seasons to discuss over & over and it's always nice to hear a fresh perspective.

:)

Hi,

I'm Stephen (23 yrs) ... I guess I wasn't really one for watching any Trek series from the beginning.

I started watching Next Generation during it's 6th season, Deep Space Nine during it's 3rd and Voyager during it's 2nd. But I did catch-up with anything I'd missed during re-runs.

Initially I didn't really like Enterprise, but my opinion on that has definitly changed since I started watching it towards the end of Season 02.

Hey everyone! I've been lurking at this BBS forever, so I know all the regulars. Now I think it's time I started posting!

My dad used to watch the TOS reruns with me when I was little, and then I got hooked on TNG. I still remember seeing "Frame of Mind" in its first run, I was 7 years old and scared out of my mind! I didn't catch much of DS9, but have caught up with it recently and loved it. I saw the beginning of Voyager, and most of the last few seasons. I've enjoyed most of ENT, especially this season. I'm sure I'll like whatever comes next; seems I'm just an overall Star Trek fan!

See you around the boards :)

welcome to all the new people..
:)

if you have some enterprise questions i will try and help you if you missed an episode or something..
i also know something about tos and some about tng and ds9.
plus water color and nfl football.

Hi all. I’ve been a lurker for years but ENT’s cancellation got me out of my hole to post recently. I hate to see it canceled, I really love S4, but I try and look at it, like, maybe it’s for the better. The fan base is so fractured. Maybe something new can one day bring us all back together. But go S5 for what it’s worth.

I’m 34 and live in Los Angeles. I don’t dress up in uniform but I do attend the conventions in Pasadena and Las Vegas. You can usually find me at the Star Trek Experience at the Vegas Hilton during holidays and when the Supercross is in town. I’m semi “in the biz”, I know, I know, aren’t we all, but hey that’s why moved to L.A.

I started watching TOS Trek reruns when I was 10 and have been hooked ever since. But my favorite of all the series so far is TNG. Picard’s the man.

I find most Star Trek fans to be truly passionate and caring people. And I love belonging to such a community of like minds. Golf clap to you all.
