I'm completely in love with T'Pol and surprisingly I don't hate Trip for it (I'm usually the jealous type :D) but he's such a charming chap that I get along with him easily, I hope he gets the girl in the end, he's such a downhome country boy.
Welcome to the Polly Lovin' Club, John O. :D! You're member number 31415926 and I'm the honorary president ;)!

Hey, what about me! I've been here for quite a while, we've even swapped JB pic's. I'm feeling jaded... ;)

Welcome to the "Club", John O !

Q2

:p ;)

Hi. I'm Andy, and I posted here ... and then let my account expire! But now I have a new lease on life at this board, thanks to T'Bonz!

Hello everybody :).

I've been lurking around for a while and then I thought I could as well try to write something here.
My real name is Maren and I'm going to be incredible 30 years old in May (if one of you ever watched the "Ally McBeal" episode in which Ally becomes 30 ... that's how I feel).
Right now I am still a student and live in my parents house.
I study media and arthistory and this summer I will have my final exams. So hopefully I will graduate in August from university.
After that I try to become a scriptwriter :D. Writing is something I really enjoy. I only hope things work out somehow and that I won't end up homeless on the street  .
I have a tom-cat called "Merlin" who is sometimes very annoying (he usually picks up the most inconvenient time to draw attention from me - usually around six o'clock in the morning). But he is also cute and smart (if you don't watch him carefully he steals the cheese from your bread while you are actually holding it in your hand).

I like going to the cinema or theatre. I also like books but recently I haven't had much time to read. Besides "Star Trek" I loved to watch "Farscape", "Buffy" and "Alias".

Hmmm... what else? The funny thing is, that I never really liked Star Trek when I was a teenager. I always thought that Star Trek fans were crazy people who didn't have a life of their own. Then the movie "Generations" came up and most of my friends actually are Star Trek fans. So they took me along to a long movie night where we watched all the Star Trek movies in a row - starting with the first one up to "Generations". And from that moment on I got somehow "caught" in the Star Trek universe. So I watched all the shows from there  .

To support my studies I work in a supermarket. That means I don't have so much time for things as sport, which I regret. But this summer I promised myself to start jogging on a regular base.

Welcome to the forum. Don't be scared away by the craziness... everyone is a bit upset right now.

Thanks. Well, with everything that's going on I'm not suprised that people are upset. I'm a bit upset myself but that won't stop me :p.
Anyway, it's a nice place you've got here :) .

Yes, and your point is? :wtf:

:D Welcome to the board.

Hi! I'm finally able to post here! I've been trying to get an account here forever! Seems that as soon as I used a gmail account, it worked! :D
I'm Gillian, I'm 18 and am from Canada. I started watching TNG when I was very young, and now thanks to reruns I've managed to see every episode of every Trek. :D Enterprise is the first series I've watched right from the beginning, which is one of the reasons I love it so much.

Welcome to all the newbies since my last post in here. Bienvenidos! Willkommen! :)

Hi! I'm Python Trek! My real name is Tony, and I'm 34 years old. I'm a stay-at-home daddy of two kids, a 5 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. My wife likes SF, but is not a geek like me. :) She's mostly into Stephen King and Agatha Christie.

I grew up watching syndicated re-runs of TOS on the local CBS affiliate on Sunday afternoons. I think the local station must have bought the bargain package, because they seemed to play the same 15 episodes over and over. I think I saw "Catspaw" and "A Piece of the Action" about a dozen times each over the course of 3 or 4 years! :) As a kid, I was a huge fan of Star Wars and Planet of the Apes, and I somehow missed TMP and TWOK when they hit theatres....a friend of mine took me to see TSFS, and I was hooked. My mom bought me the first three films on VHS a short time later, and then TNG debuted, and that's it---I was permanently hooked! I've been an obsessive-compulsive Trek geek ever since. (And glad for it...)

As for non-Trek fandom interests, I'm heavily into Marvel comics, but only the old school stuff, and I still like Star Wars. I'm also a big fan of: Futurama, the Simpsons, Monty Python (hence the handle), Cerebus, Kevin Smith, classic SF novels, LOTR, science, ancient history, current events, and the Beatles.

I live in Wisconsin, but I'm originally from the South. My political/religious beliefs/philosophy of life is: skepticism. That's why I'm a libertarian, an atheist, and an objectivist.

I'm a vegetarian, but not because I love animals---I just think it's gross to eat a pig's ass. :) I am shy, reserved, quiet, ususally polite, unassuming, and the person in any crowd who is least likely to speak up on any topic.

Physical stuff: Although 34, I look 44 <ugh!> ...I'm 5'8", around 190, bald, with a reddish goatee, grayish eyes, and little round granny glasses. I am often mistaken for Brent Spiner and Michael Chiklis' love child. :)

This is my third incrantion here at the BBS. I was originally tonybarc, and later Anne Dorian. But I'm much more mellow these days, so I never rise to flame-bait anymore. :) :) :)

Cheerio, everyone! :)

Hello everyone!

I've been a lurker on this board since Enterprise was first announced, and a fan of Trek since the first season of TOS. I suffered though the years of no Trek in the seventies trying to catch it in syndication and remember being very excited when TMP came out. I even got to see a special preview of it when I was in USAF Tech School in Biloxi, MS. My first date with the lady that I've now been married to for 21 years was TWOK (she should have known then how I was, and she married me anyway ).

I've enjoyed all of the series, although Voyager a bit less than the others. ENT was a disappointment the first couple of years, the third season was a bit better and I think that it's really come on strong this year. It will be a shame if the cancellation stays permanent, and an even bigger one if the rumors about the finale are true (and I suspect they are). I don't think the Ferengi, er, executives at Paramount really know what they have and the responsibility of stewardship that they bear. I know, it's a business, but sometimes business should take a back seat to fan loyalty and product quality.

TrekUnited and SaveEnterprise - keep up the good work! It's happened before, and it can happen again!

Ok, enough about me, lets talk about me....

"DCBPE" are my initials and profession...my real name is David Christopher Battaglia, and I'm a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, USA. I use the "C" because there are too many "Dave"'s in the world, and the "PE" because there are a lot of "DCB"'s online. It is the only screen name I use, anywhere online.

First got into Star Trek in college, watching TOS a 1 am on WPIX. Been hooked ever since; most of my friends have ST nicknames that match characters to their personalities. They think I'm "eccentric", but play along anyway.

I'm happily married with two wonderful boys (age 4.5 and 1.5). My family is my number one "hobby".
I'm a conservative by choice, Republican for lack of a better choice.
I'm an Agnostic that likes to study theology.
I also study political science, history, and physics.
In no particular order, my favorite books are Atlas Shrugged, Brave New World, 1984, and the Ringworld series.
I listen to most forms of music; but mainly heavy metal, specifically "Megadeth". And yes, I'm "DCBPE" at their website too.

My favorite ST episode is "City on the Edge of Forever".
My favorite movie is "Wrath of Kahn"
I hated the way Kirk died in "Generations"
I'm a TOS fan. Everything has paled in comparison until Manny Coto took over ENT. Season 4 ENT is AWSOME, and I'm sad to see it go.
I gave $20 to Trekunited despite the fact that I think an optimist is a person who hasn't received all of the facts yet.

I don't generally post much, anywhere. I'm quite entertained by reading others posts.

I think that's a long enough intro; so I'll give my fingers a rest now...

Live long and prosper.

I couldn't agree more. Welcome to the madness that is the ENT forum.
