The series really, really, really, really, REALLY wanted to be Star Trek: The Next Generation.
It was better. It had Janeway.
Did Next Generation have Janeway?
NOPE
JANEWAY: (a woman) I know it must be my imagination, but it seems as though Lieutenant Pinder just doesn't want me in his section.
TROI: What makes you think that?
JANEWAY: He's so critical. I can't ever do anything to please him and I try, Counsellor, I try to make sure there's nothing he could find fault with.
TROI: Give me an example of what you mean.
JANEWAY: Well, yesterday I was running routine diagnostics on the sensor pallets. They checked out, but Lieutenant Pinder questioned me because I'd allowed a point oh two three variance. That's well within specifications. He goes out of his way to criticise me.
TROI: Do you know of any reason why he might do that?
JANEWAY: No, that's why I'm here.
TROI: Well, maybe he's just tired of hearing you complain.
JANEWAY: Pardon me?
TROI: I know I'm certainly tired of it. How do you think it feels to sit and listen to someone whine about themselves all the time?
JANEWAY: I didn't realise I was
TROI: This isn't Starfleet Academy. You're not going to be coddled. If you can't take it here, then you might think about a transport ship. There's a lot less pressure there.
JANEWAY: But I love being on the Enterprise I don't want to be anywhere else.
TROI: If you aren't up to it then you don't deserve to be here. Isn't that right?
JANEWAY: I guess so.
TROI: So you'd better take a hold of yourself, or be prepared for a transfer.
JANEWAY: I will, Counsellor. Thank you.
TROI: Glad I could help.
It was better. It had Janeway.

The final episode itself is great; I just think it's dumb that they didn't build up to it. Especially with C/7, which could have been such an interesting relationship.
I loved "Endgame." In particular, I love how it subverts the old cliché of, "the future sucks, the heroes much change the timeline to save the world, and just by coincidence, it makes their own lives better too!" I was impressed, even at age 15, that Admiral Janeway was doing this for selfish reasons, and her younger self called her out on her selfishness, and then they consciously worked out a way to turn this into a goodwill mission to save the galaxy from the Borg. They had to earn their happy ending.
My only complaint, besides the lack of build-up in previous episodes, is that the Doctor didn't get much of his own storyline in the finale. Sure he had plenty of screentime, but only serving other characters; we didn't really get a glimpse at what going home would mean for the Doctor, and some resolution of him accepting that he and Seven will only be friends. Oh, and Naomi. The child born and raised in space should have had at least one scene in the episode where they finally get back to Earth!
^ You could try reading the post-series novels, Homecoming and The Farther Shore, and the relaunch novels. But keep in mind they are just one person's interpretation of what happens.
Weeeeell, Tuvok (as well as Ichab) is in this fan film, set 10 years after Voyager returns home. I'm really curious what they'll reveal about what's happened in the interim.I love the fact there was a kinda closure with Seven (in a weird sort of way). The Chakotay/Seven thing WTF?!.Again that came out of no where.. It is a grave disappointment and loss that Paramount has chosen not to treat us to the full course meal with a second parter.Im a big girl and i need my food- Cheapsakes
.I will have loved to know what has happened with Seven , did she die? . How will Janeway react?.Does she manage to save her from the big black ground below called Chakotay or will it all be a dream like Bobby Ewing when turned up in the shower
. What happens to Tuvok ? .

Although novels are fantastic to read , i rather prefer an on screen true version. I once read a novel written by Bailey B about what happened after Endgame. His depiction was so moving , so heroic, soooo poignaut.
Novels have a tendency to leave me hungry and yearning to see it on the big screen . I want to see the actors reactions to each other which a novel cannot give you. You have to envision how each character will react, which can be kinda annoying![]()
If I'm not allowed to say bimbo, you ain't allowed to say bimbo.
Tuvok needed a 15 second healing meld before his brain got past a final point of degradation that his brain couldn't come back from.
Admiral Janeway could have brung a Vulcan Doctor with her riding shotgun, but she didn't.
Or did you mean exactly what you said?
I will agree with this statement. It would have been nice to have a scene or two with all the main and supporting characters, and end the show on Earth, with the Maquis pardoned, everyone getting a promotion (including Naomi, but excluding HarryIt is clear Endgame should have been a two parter.
Who is this "Martina Statis"?...This and the episode which was entirely devoted to Martina Statis from Star Trek Generation completely f!cked me off.Voyager had lost me at this point.
( Googles who i referring to ).. Erm..Give me a minute..dun de dun... Ah.. Marina Sirtis thats her.. Mariiiiiiiiina Sirtis. I cant remember what episode it was . I just know within the first ten minutes my eyes began to turn white and all of a sudden my chest expanded followed by a major eruption as the buttons of my shirt flew off. I know at that point i had to change the channel to University ChallengeWho is this "Martina Statis"?![]()
I would rather hear those words by the Admiral. Also it will have been nice to see more of the admiral where she has flashbacks of what happened in her timeline and how it came to the point where she lost her crew . How she lost SevenQ showing up for a private moment only janeway can see, telling her "I knew you could do it , Kathy"
