Several people played, and I'm truly sorry you couldn't see the fun in it. It also, I might add, served an unintended purpose, it kept the thread active and people looking in to see if a new person had been picked, and what new episode had been chosen. I am really sorry that you didn't find it fun. I'm also sorry you didn't find the marathon postings to finish an episode fun. And the after LBL's ended once a new episode was chosen.
I just think that certain posters get carried away and turn it into a competition where it should be more relaxing and fun.
But it's a game, and games are competitive. Do you remember when we did "The First Duty"? The line by line came to dead halt right before Picard's "First duty" speech. Leadhead broke the stand off and the game continued. LINK (it starts at post 221.) That was almost 2 years ago. This has always been a competition.
Whenever I hear somebody not be pleased about our marathon finishes, I think back to when Vanyel and I did The Best of Both Worlds about 97% between the 2 of us. I can't speak for Vanyel, but I had a blast! Two evenings we made our way through one of my all time favorite Trek episodes. We had a rhythm so well going, we didn't need to wait to check if you should get the next line ready. It wasn't a competition, just a lotta fun.
^ Yes we did. Okay, it's been 48 hours, I've re run the randomizer! Our new winner is: leandar! Congrats! Now, lets choose an episode and get things going again.
