Yeah, given the secrecy surrounding his role, that's my guess too. He's some sort of ultimate Terminator that has successfully infiltrated the human resistance avoiding all their detection methods. Even dogs don't notice he's a Terminator.

It wasn't a subplot in T1 though, it was just one scene where Sarah wants to do it and Kyle shoots her down so hard that she never mentions it again.

I'm looking forward to it. Finally seeing John Connor and Reese infiltrate Skynet's time displacement equipment and the battle leading up to it is something I've wanted to see for a long time.

I'm also a fan of alternate history so it'll be cool to see how different this timeline will be from 1984 with all the mucking about from the future.
