Elvis and Dusty Springfield question

I've been wondering for some years now : Has anyone, officially or otherwise, ever made a remix duet out of their two versions of 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me?'. I don't have the greatest ear on Earth, but the versions to me don't sound all that disparate, and it's hard to believe, particularly with Dusty's 90's resurgence and then leaving us some time back, that some DJ somewhere didn't take a stab at this. Does anyone know?

The original studio recordings of Dusty’s and Elvis’ versions of the song are at the same tempo but in different keys. I suppose it would be fairly easy to mix the two versions with modern digital audio editing, but what would be the point?

What's the point of any such mix? Fun and enjoyable to listen to.

But one of them would in effect be singing in a key they wouldn't have been comfortable in, and wouldn't be a true projection of them as a vocalist.

I understand where you're coming from, it's just that it would be a bit fake.

Nothing could be more jarring than the Tom Jones/ Claudine Longet version of MacArthur Park, performed on the 70s Tom Jones show, where they alternated verses. You had to ride the volume knob.

I listened to YouTube videos of Dusty and Elvis miming to their recordings of the song. They’re less than three whole tones apart in key. With digital pitch shifting, you could probably split the difference and most listeners wouldn’t notice. It would be no more fake than today’s talentless pop stars who rely on auto-tune.

Tom Jones and Claudine Longet singing a duet? That’s the musical equivalent of Hulk Hogan wrestling Kate Moss.

I'd kill to have a video of that. It's such a stark memory from, what, 35 years ago. I only saw it once, but it's burned into my brain.

A video of Tom Jones and Claudine Longet singing together — or Hulk Hogan and Kate Moss wrestling? :)

Yeah, and then she accidentally shot him.
How could such a sweet face be guilty of murder?
