In the case of Sinatra and Mia Farrow, I think the difference in their personalities and lifestyles was a far greater gulf than the age gap.I remember reading that Frank Sinatra went into his marriage to Mia Farrow with a very realistic attitude toward it, telling friends that it wouldn't last because of the age difference. Don't know how Farrow felt about it, but they apparently remained friends throughout his life.
I was building model airplanes and jerking off a lot.I wasn't reckless or irresponsible. I was angry and would stomp around and slam doors, however. My parents thought I was doing drugs. We all say that. But the nasty truth is that we were stupid, irresponsible and reckless. And nothing can change that. The word "Fun" is just a way to make it sound better. There are people on this very board who must remember how much fun I was when I was 16.![]()
Come to think of it, I haven't changed in 40 years.
