Editorial on ST:IX (James Cawley)

Let me get this right, If you where given a look at the set and a part in the movie...And working to get into the movie business..you would tell people that a well known director did not do a good job???????

If that was the truth, then yes.

If I was wanting to get into the movie business and also happened to get a small part in a movie genre of which I was a fan, it would do little to serve my personal interest if I lied about the movie in which I was in.

I would hope that by elucidating my prescience regarding the movie's potential I would put myself in a better position if my warnings were true and only show myself as a realist with a clear morality if my predictions were proven to be false.

There is minimal possibility for gain if Cawley lies or misrepresents his true feelings about the production of the new Trek.

To whom would you want to give your next film? The lying cheerleader or the prescient realist?

BTW, we have the ability to delete our own posts on this BBS. ;)

I didn't see that, I will look again.

Thanks,

Nope, still don't see it. I'll read the faq

FAQ says I should be able to, but I don't see it. Maybe it was disabled by Mods?
Looks like there's a threshold of 6 months and 1000 posts for deleting your own posts. You've got the one, but not the other. The way you handled it above does the trick, though.

Ah, I did not know that. Sorry for the confusion, Tyberius. :)
