Editing your own episodes (for private use).

I've purchased every DVD of every ST series (except Discovery), but I no longer like to mess with DVDs, although they work quite well boxed up in a closet. ;) Anyway since I own them, I took the time and ripped them all to put on a hard drive hooked to my KODI box. Now sometimes some episodes have some really bad scenes that can easily be removed and not missed, and other episodes work better combined. So I was wondering, am I the only one that has indulged in some 'creative editing' of their own copies of Star Trek episodes?

The only one I remember offhand editing is "When the Bough Breaks", which I was recording on VHS. I hit Stop right after Radue says "you have destroyed us, captain". Without the smarmy "win-win" ending, it's still a mediocre episode at best, but at least it didn't cause my lunch to do aerobics in my gut.

Please, for the love of Spock's beard, give us a version of "The Enemy Within" that doesn't end with real-Kirk cheerfully teasing Yeomen Rand about his evil-half's attempt to r*pe her.

Removing Pike's sexist comments from TOS might also be good, if for nothing else, continuity's sake.

Alot of TOS episodes can be improved by inserting the "Let's get the Hell out of here" line from TCOTEOF in place of whatever corny joke they had.

Plenty of edits on YouTube - one channel edits out takes into the actual scene for example.
And as we’re approaching Christmas, Picard’s make it so, tuvok the vessels Vulcan, wonderful deep space nine etc will no doubt get a decent playing.

Alternative Factor beginning, with the Dyson Sphere from Relics being responsible for the rumbling…and all the goofy planet episodes taken place in that.

Some things said in TOS are really bad, like in "Who Mourns For Adonais" when these idiots quietly assume that a woman will give up her career the day she meets "the right man"...
