Even if progressed from TATV instead of real time, Archer is still on the Federation Council. Only its with six years of experience and a few years removed from becoming the (first?) President of the Federation.

Wonder why he gave up his ambassadorship to Andoria prior to being seated thought? It’s known that ambassadors can sit on the council – Sarek for example. Seems unnecessary.
