Early bajor enslavement book

ZappaDanMan

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Is there a book out there that deals with the (I think, but probably wrong) obsidian order's infiltration to Bajor, its subjugation and the building of terrok nor ?

A lot of the early relaunch books so far seem to be dealing with cardassians, thought I'd might as well flesh out their back story as much as possible (if there is a book).

Cheers

You have to read the Terok Nor saga: Day of the Vipers (James Swallow), Night of the Wolves and Dawn of the Eagles (S.D. Perry & Britta Dennison).

The novels deal with the Occupation and feature many known and also unknown characters. Have fun.

ahh cheers, that was easy thanks :)

OK, Terok is spelt with one 'r', I've been spelling it wrong all this time haha. In fact if I was in the Bajoran resistance, that would be my act of defiance: slightly misspelling 'Terrok Nor' with graffiti. That would totally show those spoon heads a thing or too *tough guy pose*. and as Garak once said:

Doctor Bashir: They broke seven of your transverse ribs and fractured your clavicle.
Elim Garak: But I got off several cutting remarks which no doubt did serious damage to their egos.

As long as you don't misspell Khan as Kahn, everything is just fine.

You may also consider the Rebels Trilogy by Dafydd ab Hugh. Not the best DS9 novels, but there is some Winn Adami background.

With the Rebels trilogy you can pretty much skip the first book since, aside from the prologue and ending, the majority of the book deals with Sisko and what his crew on the Defiant are doing. It isn't really till the last part of Book 2 where you actually start to get into Winn Adami's backstory.

Aside from that, there are many errors in this novels as to the spelling of set terms.

I don't know if it's helpful to start with book two of a trilogy, though. It's up to the OP. :)

Double Helix: Vectors isn't as early as you ask for, but it's set on Terok Nor during the Occupation, about three years before "Emissary." Dukat, Kira, Odo, and Pulaski(!) feature.

I just finished reading the trilogy just over a month ago, and really, it's too bad that we didn't see ab Hugh's novel from the A Time To... get published, because this trilogy is probably the worst of his books.

But with the trilogy, as far as the story goes, even though Kai Winn's back story was advertised as being the "A" story, it was really the Tiffnakki story that was the "A" story, while Kai Winn's story was the "B" story---which didn't begin till book 2. Book 1 did set it up, but it didn't develop the Winn's story at all. It was basically Winn has a dream of her past, and then it was time for her to go assume command of DS9.

I never bought the reason for Winn assuming command of DS9 in the first place. And as I said before, there were many errors in this trilogy. On the other hand, I've read worse books....

Nice, I do have that book. When I first got into Star trek books at the start of the year (and heard the relaunch series), luck had it my local 'Vinnies' (Australia charity clothing, knick knack etc. store) had a shelf full star trek books. Made a deal with the manager to clean the shelf for $40 and that was one of them :p

I'll buy the terok nor trilogy, sounds great. Thanks for all your suggestions :)
