each season's WORST

^^ nahh...there are a few others..in fact, your avatar shows a scene from one of them. I can't even remember the name, it was that bad.

One Word:

Move Along Home:scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream:
The worst other episodes seems like Yesterday's Enterprise when compared MAH (better yet, meh)

Move Along Home + Spock's Brain =Trek's Steaming Pile of Goat Shit

S1- Q-Less
S2- Second Sight
S3- Facets
S4- The Visitor
S5- Let he who is without sin
S6- Time's Orphan
S7- Prodigal Daughter ( the worst of all time)

I feel like I'm one of the few who likes Move Along Home.
Maybe we can start a club? ;)

I don't think it's a masterpiece or anything, but at least it ain't boring. And there's nothing in it as bad as poor Siddig's attempt at 'evil guy' acting in The Passenger.

Season 1: The Storyteller
Season 2: Second Sight
Season 3: Meridian
Season 4: The Muse
Season 5: Let He Who Is Without Sin . . .
Season 6: Time's Orphan
Season 7: Prodigal Daughter

I would have done it seriously, but I'll probably be reviewing DS9 in a few months and I didn't want to declare best and worst episodes now and then change my mind in a few months. People might accuse me of being a flip-flopper, then I'll never be elected president. :(

Where do you post reviews?

Theres no episodeI absolutely hate simply because I enjoy watching the characters so much the weakest episodes are

1. If wishes were horses
2. Profit and loss
3. Meridian
4 Rules of Engagement
5 Let he who is without sin
6. Resurection
7. Badda Bing Badda Bang

There are certainly some clunkers on this list. But thankfully, IMO, DS9's quota didn't seem as high as the other shows. I'm going to do one of these threads over on TNG. I can't wait to see what comes up on those lists.

I had the unfortunate chance of visiting a friend's house. And they were watching MOVE ALONG HOME. Had there been a gun just out in the open? You might have seen my name on the police blotter!!!

Well, I've been doing some rewatching of the weaker episodes, so it's time for me to take a shot at this...

Season 1: Q-Less. Way too much TNG in my DS9. Unlike most of the other weaker episodes of season 1, this episode has almost no redeeming value because there's no good writing for the main cast. In retrospect, it's funny that Q showed up on the station just to get punched by Sisko, but otherwise there's nothing here except shades of the mediocre show DS9 could have been and thankfully did not end up being.

Season 2: Rivals. A show built around a non-descript guest star and an extremely weak gimmick. A couple of funny lines for Quark, but otherwise a total snoozefest.

Season 3: Fascination. What was the point of this? DS9 works best when it builds characters. Again, shades of the terrible show that DS9 wasn't for the most part.

Season 4: Sons of Mogh. Season 4 is quite consistently good, with none of my favorite episodes, but no real clunkers either. However, this episode was a waste as far as I'm concerned. There's just nothing dramatically satisfying about it. Kurn could have been a fun guest star, but instead he just ends up getting erased? Bleh.

Season 5: Ferengi Love Songs. Armin Shimmerman is great as Quark, but the ongoing Ferengi saga involving Moogie and the Nagus has lost me by this time. The focus should have been on finding interesting stories for Quark interacting with the main cast.

Season 6: Profit and Lace. Not funny.

Season 7: Extreme Measures. After Inter Arma (a classic), the Section 31 storyline deserved to be wrapped up in a more satisfying manner. The big misfire of the otherwise epic final arc as far as I'm concerned. I'd also happily delete The Emporer's New Cloak and Badda-Bing Badda-Bang. Season 7 has so much great material that bad episodes like these make me cry for how the time could have been spent.

So good to see someone sharing my hate for that episode. :scream: I cannot understand why several people here like it, and some even take it seriously. I always HATED it with a passion. It's like really bad fanfiction, and watching everyone act idiotic and out of character was really embarrassing.

This episode could have been so much better if it made like its title and was Vash without Q. In fact, after being so horribly wasted on Next Gen, I think Vash could have been a great recurring guest character on DS9 - a rival to Quark perhaps?

Oh well ...

Fascination was one of my less favorite episodes. I couldn't wait until that episode was over.

For a time I was hoping that she/Q would have spun off into their own show. The ideas could have been limitless...

Lighten up, people. "Fascination" and "Q-Less" are fun, slight episodes that are pleasant to watch and do no harm to the seasons or series they're in. The technobabble in "Q-Less" was agonizing at times, but otherwise I thought it was a decent episode. Q mocking the whole crew on the bridge and calling Sisko "Benji" was cute, and Vash flirting with Quark and Bashir was funny.

I dug the broad humour in "Fascination" too...it was like a campy throwback to the humour of the original series and I appreciated it on that level. Those are far from the worst episodes of their seasons. At least they weren't boring, unlike countless others in seasons 1 and 2 that were so dull I barely remember them because in my memory they all run together.

The only DS9 episode that really 'grinds my gears' is 'Move Along Home'...

Well, I said the only DS9 episode that really 'grinds my gears'....

I don't think my avatar is from a DS9 episode...;) (If it is, I don't recall seeing it during DS9's run; someone will have to jog my memory)...

If we are to talk other Trek episodes that are bad, I can name a few as well; which I'm sure we did in other threads...(Of course, there are other threads for those opinions)...

I stand corrected..its from the TNG episode where Tasha fights the chick on the monkey bars...uggghh...And to think I devoted my brain power to hone in on the memory closer...

Well, some people do like the episode....

As we look on this board, tastes within Trek fandom are very wide...

What may not appeal to one, may appeal to another...and for different reasons.;):)

While Move Along Home is pretty bad, I think there's a kitschy quality to it that saves it from being THE worst (and the allamarain song is kind of catchy in a nightmarish sort of way)...

As for my WORST episodes... welllll this took a lot of thought ;)

S1: Duet
S2: Necessary Evil (Someone turn on the lights!!!! The Jem Hadar is pretty bad too)
S3: The Die is Cast (Odo/Garak interrogation scenes were SOOOO badly acted!!!!!)
S4: The Visitor (needs more 'splosions. and mysterious future guy time travellers and a plot that sends Sisko back to 1996! It'll be so funny seeing Sisko trying to learn how to drive a car! LOL!)
S5: Call to Arms (OMGZZZ There's war in Star Trek! GENE WOULD SOOOO ANGRY!!!!)
S6: In the Pale Moonlight (Sisko = Hitler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
S7: The Changing Face of Evil (Damar's speech = BOOOOOORRRING. Why can't Janeway just fly in and destroy the Dominion herself?????)
