Has anyone else had this issue on Amazon.us ?

I'm finding that several of the over 500 Star Trek novels I have been acquiring since the monthly sales since 2014 are not showing up as "You own this item" on the search page and still has it listed as "Buy with 1-Click" on the individual page for the books in question.

I used to be able to scan through the Kindle book list and simply search for the items that had the "Buy with 1 Click" logo on the individual books that I had not acquired in the past. It still has these books in my content folder on Amazon so I know that I haven't been hacked. Is it possible that these books have gone through some sort of update that makes the copies I already have invalid?

Can anyone offer a solution or a fix for this issue?

Thanks,
Dan

I’ve noticed that issue in recent days with many Kindle books on Amazon US, including some I bought as little as two days ago, so I don’t think it’s related to updates to the titles themselves. I assume it’s just some kind of issue or change with how Amazon tracks purchases, but I haven’t seen it discussed anywhere else. Trying to repurchase a book I already own (yes, I tried, for science) gives a “Thanks for your order” page but doesn’t seem to actually create a new order or charge your card again.

This has been happening over the last few days. Another thing I see more frequently is that Amazon may or may not show the author's name when returning search results.

The best practice is to open a new tab or window with the book to see if the message about when you purchased the title is on the book's page. I'm glad that Brendan wasn't charged again, but I would not trust in the system always working like it should.
